january 2026 — 1st entry 🌸

me again forgetting i have a tumblr page, but good thing i like to write.

i started a new year's resolution, a small, unpretentious project. I decided that even though i don't earn anything from my art, i need to take it more seriously. it's a hobby i've cultivated my whole life! what I need to focus on is my artistic ability; i can illustrate, i can pay more attention to certain details, and develop certain things one at a time. my first project involves some original characters inspired by flowers. you could compare them to the Winx Club; it's a similar concept.

i need more references when putting together an illustration—pose, elements, composition. this will keep me away from pure copying and potential plagiarism.

my other resolutions include other types of art, ranging from making notebooks to decorative felt.

once again, making art for pure pleasure. my dedication to art has been with me since birth; it never had a financial motivation. i enjoy it. and i enjoy it because it's mine.

since i bought the CSP Pro last year, i haven't had much opportunity to properly test it, my pc was terrible, the motherboard and RAM were awful, and I didn't even have an SSD.

now i got a decent (not state-of-the-art) one.

my tablet can connect and i can use it to draw through it and have my pc monitor as the bigger screen, it's fantastic, and it's good enough for me.

i had some half-baked studies before, but this drawing of some of the girls from the Resident Evil franchise helped me a lot to understand the software and the keyboard shortcuts.

the start of something new ~

hi,

recently, i've received a huge wave of motivation and encouragement from my mother and friends. everyone has shown genuine interest in my small projects that i usually put aside, the ones i usually call side-quests.

on monday, i was downtown with my mom while i was helping her with something, and we went into a stationery store where she encouraged me to buy materials to make stickers... i was reluctant, but i bought it.

these three ^^^ are my favorite ones so far... i'd like to produce more on my free time, still keeping' in as a hobby/side quest because i still have a lot of college and work stuff related to do. i'm learning from scratch, supplies i never got to see, touch, read about (the other day i saw my dad searching prices for more machinery for me...)

i'm overwhealmed........................... 🫠

anyway, everyone is hyped about it, so am i.

the left one i printed out for my mum, a long time ago i made some drawings of her when she was younger, cause i thought her outfits were cute.

the ones on the right picture are my babies <3 bruce & ringo

i also printed this michael sticker lol i put it right beside mingyu one of my friends gave me.

anyway, i'll try to update and not get overwhelmed by my own excitement 🤪

i discovered i'm a fan of popplio/brionne/primarina (healthy), dunno if i'm proud of this piece, tho i think it's cute.

✨ pseudo-productivity ✨

i recently ordered a set of 60 brush pens and practiced lettering, but i really enjoyed making handmade stickers.

i also received a set of 60 alcohol-based markers at home, MAN, they bleed through... even with the highest possible paper weight, i face challenges. i'm not confident with it enough to show my studies.

anyway, i'm practicing and studying, i've been waiting a long time for both sets :) me happy :)

momentarily, i feel productive enough to test these materials, i call it pseudo-productivity because i know myself and i know this phase will pass... (it might return, but it will pass)

old E.R sketches — i was obsessed for a while, at first i didn't really like the narrative of pairing Kovać with Abby.... (spoiler alert?) i was still getting over Karol. and i also didn't quite understand what they did with Kovać's personality when it came to relationships; in general he was a gentleman, but with women he was a mess..... 🤨

perhaps i misinterpreted him. i still prefer him over Carter 🙂 (that whole thing traveling abroad and uggggghhhhhhh....... *puke*)

recent sketches, I recently ordered a 60-piece brush pen set and I'm waiting for it to arrive :) until then, I'll keep doodling with my old pencils.
