Hey! My name is Lexi! I'm from the US and my native language is English, but I'm a B1 level French learner, and maybe an A2 level Spanish learner! I took French in school and continued with self study and just picked up Spanish two years ago! Those are my target languages but I also am starting to learn Russian and German! (I also can be easily swayed into learning new languages too so hopefully I can make some new friends and learn a lot about a lot of languages!)

Hello everyone! I just thought it should be pointed out that I'm only going to personally contact two people for a match if the target language of one of them is the mother language of the other AND vice versa; if it's not a perfect match I won't connect you directly. For example, if you want to learn Mandarin and we already have an ask by a Mandarin native speaker, I'm only going to create a match between you two if they are also interested in your native language.

That's because I don't want to put anyone on the spot by assigning them to an exchange they didn't ask for; however if you're a native speaker of a language someone's interested in, you can contact them even if you're not learning their mother language! That's a wonderful initiative and you could learn something new about their culture, even if you're not looking to learn their mother language.

That said, I'm happy that this is starting to work! Tomorrow I'm going to answer the rest of your asks. 🍁
