if GLaDOS knew that people shipped her and Chell, she would intentionally set up yuriful scenarios just to deconstruct them before they reach on-screen fruition, and then turn to the camera and say “An older woman? With a younger, disabled woman much less powerful than herself? Who can’t even say no? Surely nobody watching at home would want to be subject to such a lurid, problematic actualisation of romance? I’m sure they’d all rather observe a white male theoretical physicist beat two pieces of metal together” before cutting to Half-Life gameplay
