In light of recent events, I want anyone who supports crossing the boundary between disliking something and outright targeting other fans for it in a hostile way, whether itâs online or offline, over simply enjoying a fictional character or dressing up as them, to unfollow me. This includes if you agree with or otherwise encourage people like @destroy-trash-boys
Youâre not just harming other people, youâre also a big hypocrite for doing so under the guise of righteousness, claiming you âcare about victims.â Iâd tell you to stop interacting with fandom because you clearly arenât enough of a well-adjusted adult to deal with it, but I know thatâs not going to work. If you had a shred of decency and self-awareness, your lot wouldnât be bullying people the way you do. Youâd leave innocent fans of a cartoon character alone, and stop dragging in victims of real horrific tragedies while youâre at it. Youâre making the rest of us who do care about these things look so, so bad.Â
The next time someone gets hurt, think about how itâs partially rooted and supported by your mentality, a behavior you also co-sign when you donât call out those in your group and instead encourage this cruel, toxic shit.
