Sometimes it is very difficult to walk away. No job, health problems and no money, for instance. And people just live in loveless or abusive relationship and can’t break out, going deeper and deeper into depression and desperation.

This must be one of the most horrible things in life.

If you see someone walking away please don’t ask them to go back and legally fight, or to save any future person that may fall into a bad relationship with the person they’re trying to get away from. Sometimes you barely have enough strength to walk, being asked to make a stand just makes it so much harder to leave. And if you guilt trip someone trying to walk into being responsible for any future victims they may just stay because it’s the only thing they can do to protect this future you’ve created for them to defend.

you have to admit there are some joys in life that can only be felt due to hardship. a common example is steaming hot showers. it takes a cold day, or a sickness, for someone to experience the joy of a hot shower. you can’t enjoy it in the heat. then there’s the joy of a fulfilling sleep, often achieved through a tiring day. and there’s the joy of a reunion, achieved through separation. and there are many more examples. sometimes difficulty carries a special range of joys and that’s something to be thankful about.
