escape. a sketchbook // an acre of air somewhere is on hand to aim at 1, 5minute long sketch session each day. my mom and i have seen fruit, and the discipline is taxing. A few days off here and there despite being a relatively short task, requires more than expected in the initial use of sketches as therapy, cathartic release, or open relay sessions between paintings and sketches to stand on their own inventedness.

a series called “king and i” is a dense collection of paintings on paper and canvas started by memory and study and inquiry regarding the parable of the wedding feast an apostle from the first century documents as having been delivered by jesus, the risen-after-death guys who prayed for his earthen portion to be taken away from him.

I focused as working to expound and image a host of attendees, court, and counsel amongst design representatives fond of cloissoning, blogging during production, color blocking, and swirling calligraphy by brush and acrylic liquid paint.

I sorted it out during the last two months of 2025, and still ended up gifting strangers the opportunity to pick up “free” art estimates at 35+works done by me in hopes of building the exhibition somewhere that’s not my house, and price tags listing $1,600.00-$48,000.00
