How to get perfect curls with the right products & equipment! - Roots Glam Curl Pro 501 review
I’ve always LOVED curling my hair; not only does it give a depth to my overall appearance but it also highlights my hair color so well.
Finding the right curler has always been a task, especially when you’re specific about the kind of curls you want. I personally LOVE big lose curls but sometimes I just feel like getting tighter, smaller curls. That’s when the Roots CurlPro 501 comes handy.
One base machine and 5 interchangeable tongs, how convenient could it get? It’s crazy how this curler can create so many different styles. You want to go all natural, try the Big Conical tong for loose tapering curls. Chic and peppy, try the Narrow Conical Tong for tight and defined, yet tapering curls. If you’re a fan of big fluffy hair, try the medium and big cylindrical tongs. The ends of your hair are not tapered and look fluffier at the ends. And the small cylindrical tong gives you a nice uniform look with tight and defined curls.
When it comes to heat styling, I’m always concerned with my hair getting frizzy. The Roots CurlPro 501 has a ceramic and tourmaline coating which gives you frizz-free and shiny hair, and that’s how it gets better!
An additional rescuer to my curling session is the Roots Morocvita Daily Leave-in Argan Oil. I use this, right after my hair wash on damp hair and also before I curl or straighten my hair. I love how this protects and nourishes my hair follicle at the core and doesn’t make my hair greasy at all, which is one of my major concerns when it comes to heat protectants. This Argan oil has become a part of my daily hair routine, since it helps me to get rid of frizz, is so gentle and light, and also protects my hair from harsh sunlight incase I’m stepping out.
And nothing scares me more than knots in my hair! that’s when the Roots Wottabrush comes to my rescue. Hallelujah!
Let’s accept it, nothing stresses us out more than a big hairball right next to your dresser on the floor. Nothing.
Lately I’ve been using the Wottabrush Detangling brush even right after my hair wash and it’s such a beautiful experience, I can hear angels sing. Not even kidding. I know it’s always said that wet hair is more prone to breakage, but Wottabrush detangles your hair in one or two strokes. The bristles of the brush don’t pull your hair but loosen your knots which makes it so much simpler. The one I have is the Floral Bliss Oval Brush but it’s available in paddle and mini sizes too, with 5 different looks!
