“For most of us from now on, life and death will be an urban affair.”
Within this article, Anne Beate Hovind (curator of public space in Bjørvika, a part of Oslo/Norway) cites art philosopher Riccardo Caldura as recognizing “the quality of nothing”.
To create a space that is conducive to reflection, and inviting the public to spend time there, opens up for moments of unlabelled quality - as well as those qualities we label. It´s an interesting way of finding a perspective outside the box.
Thanks to Ina Eriksen for alerting me to Werber´s article.
