This is the original NM&P St. Patrick’s Day picture prop. It’s my favorite, and my background on my login screen for my Surface. I found it by accident at The Punisher prop auction, where it was hidden behind a listing for a gas can, of all things.

I always thought Matt’s glasses were reflecting green because they do in the show, but this makes it clear these are custom green glasses. You can buy Karen’s headband and Matt’s t-shirt online!

I noticed the walls are brick, and Josie’s doesn’t have brick walls. I like to think they went somewhere like the Landmark Tavern (historic Irish pub in Hell’s Kitchen) or maybe the Irish pub Matt goes to called Flanagan’s from the comics.

Shamrocks represent the Holy Trinity - our dear avocados. Nelson’s is full of shamrocks when ahem Page, Murdock and Nelson make the new napkin. The people who own the real butcher where they filmed said the filmmakers didn’t change much except the political signs and Irish stuff.

Karen keeps this on her bookshelf in her third apartment, then on her green record cabinet/TV stand at her most recent apartment, and she takes it with her when she packs to run in S3. She looks at it when she is at her lowest moments, and all is lost, each time it appears - but it always works out in the end!

I think this is the prop Charlie Cox was talking about that will be featured in Born Again, which will be poignant because of the hope it represents from the original show, and because the show debuts in March. ☘️

It's Jeff! Meets Daredevil #1, "Daredevil Did It" by Kelly Thompson and Gurihiru

I love when even a Matt cameo as tiny as this one manages to hit some good old DD classics. Matt arguing against Daredevil in court never gets old ("Playing to the Camera"'s legacy lives on!), and the idea that Jeff knows his secret identity is incredible. 10/10.

First, Karen Page tells Matt Murdock, "Come on. I know where we can go" and turns to leave the restaurant where they are having their first official date. In the second and third gifs, she describes the Indian restaurant she takes him to instead. "My favorite part is the ceiling," she says, as the camera pans up. "So, it's literally dripping with thousands of lights. They're shaped like chili peppers, which sounds really tacky, I know, but it's, um, it's not. Just... It's magic." The lights are multicolored and vibrant, and the decor also includes a shimmering red heart hanging over them.

In the fourth and fifth gifs, Matt and Karen are standing outside an elevator at Metro-General Hospital, where they are working on the Frank Castle case the next day. "I'm not misremembering, am I? i will just never get over how explicit aos became with showing daisys trauma in season 4. they basically wrote canonical hurt/comfort fic, even if they kinda smeared the landing in the end.

this is one of the things that elevates the show above everything else ive ever seen. it is so rare, and so important for any media to showcase struggles with mental health in this way, to not present people as victims, but as active participants in their own life that are using the wrong mechanisms to deal with their problems because they are completely overwhelmed and are reacting the only way they can.

this is not meant to belittle people who have different patterns or might not be in a situation where being active is an option for them. this just breaks the stereotype and that had a huge impact on me. i still think about daisy whenever im going through a dark time myself.
