It wasn’t often the Hilltop needed more people than just Doctor Carson to deal with medical things, but when the Alexandrians arrived, Carson asked if he could help out. Alex had always been more comfortable with the mental and emotional dealings of the medical world, it was why he was a Psychologist and not a Doctor. But he could play nurse if he needed to. The last thing he wanted was any of these people to leave here worse than they came.
Or worse, for this woman to lose her baby– the world needed babies now more than ever. Not to make sure they survived as a race, but because babies brought about hope. That was something the world needed a lot of now-a-days.
He looked down at the woman as she spoke and glanced up at the clock hanging on the wall of the tent, “It’s late. You’re group has been here for a couple hours.” That was more likely what she wanted to know, right?
“I’m Alex, by the way. I’m helping out Doctor Carson while he stepped out to run some tests to make sure you and that baby are doing ok.” He turned and looked through a cabinet, “how are you feeling? Still in pain, or has that subsided at all? We gave you something to get your fever down, which is looking good, but we wanted to wait to see if you’d need something for the pain…”
Maggie was honestly relieved to hear that she hadnt been out too long, as she nodded. Things had been disastrous enough as t was, her family needed her and she could help no one assed out on a hospital bed.
She nodded listening to what the man had to say, he clearly knew what he was talking about at least. t would have been horrid for them to come all ths way for the hilltops medical team to be just as they were back home “nice to meet you Alex,” she responded “m Magge,” Her voice was quite, sore from the crying hours earlier that day.
“ is the baby okay?” She asked worry clear to anyone. “the pains still there, but it's not as bad as earlier,”
