About the ribbons held in Tytus’ hands: Chopin mentioned several times in his letters to Tytus-
I don’t know if the ribbon physically existed or it was just a symbol of their connection, since it seems very common that Chopin used metonymies to allude something in his earlier letters. But yeah it could be both. If Fryderyk did have a ribbon and he carried it with him when he left Poland, who was the sender and what did it mean for them?
It lowkey reminds me of the ribbon of the “Moja bieda” envelope which allegedly was Chopin’s correspondence with the Wodzińska family.
