For about 2-3 years going to Anime Expo, I constantly heard complaints from toku cosplayers about the lack of toku panel at AX.

The truth is, I sent them application year after year, only to be rejected all times. It's perplexing when you consider the fact that other CA cons have toku panels, and AX would have few panels that are not even Japanese-related.

So this is my last resort: Twitter. When AX opens their panel registration, I'm gonna show the retweets as proof that there is demand for it.

If it fails, then I'll give up on AX ever having toku panel and write it off as lost cause.

So I need your help, all and any of you. If you want AX to have tokusatsu panel for first time ever, retweet. Let them know there's actual interest for it.

LA Toku Meetup: Holiday Edition?

beetlebuddy, aidonwanadai, and I are thinking of having a holiday get-together during the holidays, sometime in the next 2 weeks.  Probably Little Tokyo again with food, shopping, and Karaoke (with lots of Toku songs!)

A tad bit late on starting this, but who would be interested in having a Tokusatsu cosplay gathering? I am thinking of having it at Site 4 (indoors!) in the afternoon. Who’s interested? What is your preferred time?  Please vote in the cosplay.com thread.

(Char) Our first LA Toku Meet Up in Little Tokyo!  We met up at the Godzilla vs Biollante screening followed by dinner at Curry House and desserts, etc around the area.  We even ran into Tsuyoshi Nonaka! Thank you everyone for coming!  I hope we get to do this more often!

Let’s go to the 3pm screening so that we can have dinner afterwards, and in time for the 9pm Q&A at Anime Jungle
