’ it’s a CLICHE, but like all cliches, it’s the truth. your life can change over night - or in a moment. the official world on charlie’s death was a brain aneurysm, but the doctors had never seen anything ( QUITE ) like it before. the blood . . . ALL THAT BLOOD. ‘
independent zoe benson
KYLE.
they were happy, to flee the coven. it was a real shot at getting a real life together. a normal, happy life, free of any chaos that was brought on by the magic in both of them. but kyle was smart enough to know that it wasn’t right, to ignore that part of them. it was eating at both of them, he was sure, but he was the one to say something about it. ❝ we should go back. ❞
there’s an unspoken ( tension ) between them - it’s been following them for days like dead air. zoe had hoped it was just her, because they had been happy at first. they were finally free, finally safe, finally happy. and that should have been enough, except it wasn’t. running didn’t make her any less of a witch, it didn’t help kyle, it didn’t help EITHER of them. a heavy sigh escaped pale lips as she sat at the desk in the otherwise empty hotel room, a hand hovering over the candle that sat atop it and just as kyle spoke, the flame lit, barely grazing the palm of her hand as she drew her hand back quickly. she didn’t have to think about it, because it was a part of her. HE WAS RIGHT. ‘ i know, ' is her reply after a long moment. this was wrong - this running, this HIDING - it wasn’t helping either of them. she turns around, faces him for the first time in what feels like hours. ' you're not scared ? '
