[ l'arachel / hector ]
âI got some cash left.â Hector said, searching in his pockets. âItâs not much, but it should be enough forâ Wait. What do you mean, âwhoâ? Youâre a princess⊠Right? Arenât you supposed to have money with you orââ
But before he could set for the town square, she had already started taking it out on the wooden door⊠again.
And this time, she had a sickle.
ââWhoa! Whatâ Hey! What do you think youâreââ
Nope. She wasnât listening. She kept on whacking the door, and it was clear the poor thing wouldnât hold for much longer.
And another thing that wouldnât hold for long, was Hectorâs patience. âHey! Cut that out! Hold it!â He snapped, ignoring her ramblings and trying to restrain her arms from behind. âYouâll get both of us in deep trouble if you keep at it! And I got no plans of ending up behind prison bars, you know!â
But alas, too late for the door: even if he stopped the crazy banshee from shredding it to pieces, it was too mauled to keep on standing, and it fell right as he blocked her. He stared at it dumbly for a second, then realized they had no time to waste: they had to get away. Now.
Without giving her any warning, he clutched her and picked her up like one would pick up a box, grasping tightly her stomach as her limbs dangled in the air, and then started running away from the door-less house.
âMan⊠Do you do that with all the âabominable thingsâ you donât know how to use?â He snorted at her baggage as he ran.
"Put me down again, you!! Hey! I'm not finished with that poor lost little soul!" she smacked him in whatever place she found first. "Besides!! Why are you stopping me? Experience is the best teacher! That wretched being should at least spare some hospitality!! Am I even invading his house? I'm not, right?! I'm simply knocking---there---and did you even see his face?"
Pausing to take a breath, she whined again. "... Don't you see... even I, the lovely-as-ever L'Arachel, was rejected like that... like some gorilla knight---"
"---I'm hungry," she cut her own words just like that. "Hey Hector, Sir! Where are you taking us again??"
She heard a group of people rushing. Among them some men shouting angrily, "Look, there they are!! That must be it, as described by this poor old man! That must be the culprit, that big man over there!"
Then a loud gasp.
"He is kidnapping an innocent little girl!! A DANGEROUS MAN!! Proceed with caution!! Call more men!!"
"I AM NOT A LITTLE GIRL, EXCUSE YOU!!" she shouted, sticking out her tongue at them. She heard Hector mumbling some herpy-derpy swear words for being mistaken for a psycho---first, they thought he was the one attempting to assault the old man. Second, what, kidnapping again? Although he really wanted to applaud those who described her as an innocent little girl!
"I AM FREAKIN' PRINCESS L'ARACHEL OF FREAKIN' RAUSTEN AND YOU SHALL ADDRESS ME AS HER HIGHNESS MADAME L'ARACHEL AND NO LESS THAN THAT, GET IT?! NOW TAKE ME FROM MISTER HECTOR AND BRING ME TO YOUR LORD, IMMEDIATELY!!"
"She must be delirious... poor girl is shocked and not knowing what to do! Heaven bless you, little missy! Men, charge!!"
"HEAVEN BLESS YOUR FOOLISH FOOLERY!!" she shouted again in frustration. Now she wasn't sure whether it was okay to be with 'these fools' or 'the lunatic Hector', but...
"Hector, run faster, oh my God! Why are you even wearing that? Who gave you an idea to forge son of a giant's lunch box into an armor?"
She heard him grunting, she knew she taunted him too much, but she was in panic. If they got caught and they asked who she was, would it really be her advantage from there? If she her identity was questioned? Alas, how could she even trust people who mistook her for a boobless little girl? What if they sent her to a monastery or orphanage instead?
"Alright Sir Hector, I'm only joking! Do take me with you! Strip if you must, and run faster than a pegasus!!"
... That was said out loud.
