Hey idk who needs this but helpful reminder that "virgin blood" in any witchcraft shit that requires that means "virgin" in the same sense as "virgin hair" means hair that hasn't been dyed or processed in any way, natural in the default sense. So no, "virgin blood" doesn't mean blood from a virgin, just blood that hasn't been used for any other kind of witchy shit earlier.

women don’t have to give birth ever. dropping birthrates are not an issue if your society is malleable. human race living into infinity isn’t a worthy goal, and if it is then why is it the fault of women not giving birth to children and not the oil execs and politicians doing as little as they can to stop our earth dying at an alarming rate. if the human population falls to 1000 people then that’s just life and women still don’t have to give birth if they don’t want to. humans are not special they are just animals and we have real live people living today right now who need our help and care. legacy is just another male conquest fantasy. he has to conquer the future with his spawn, and it’s up to women to comply, and we’re told if we don’t then “there’s no one to take care of the elderly, there’s no new workers to uphold the economy” mean while male majority governments all over the world continuously block programs that will help people thrive. women need birth control, women need sex education, women need abortions on demand without conditions, and men can jack their jizz into a sock for all I care there’s no magical legacy secretly waiting to blossom in your disgusting spunk. nothing swimming in there is more important than the women and girls who are already here with finite time to enjoy their lives just like everyone else. pass a bill for once.

Mothers need resources not compliments. If someone's leftist utopian idea for mothers is giving them money to stay at home, you havent solved the problem of motherhood being socially isolated and the death of ambition. In a post capitalist world, you still need workers and most adults will have a job

As long as motherhood means the complete destruction of your social life and is dependent of other women being default babysitters, you're being delusional about running a society and making motherhood attractive. You need people to run a society and the people who birth people, dont want to do it even when they have good maternal leave. Maternal love doesnt replace companionship or satisfy intellectual pursuits. Motherhood has never been enough

I do think we have a habit of discussing abortion, even in feminist conversations, in deeply misogynist ways. I think there is an impulse to discuss abortion in some form of moral framework, and I think it's incorrect most of the time. The older I get, the more I understand, the more I find troubling the need to cast the abortion seeking woman as someone who can be morally understood in this case of abortion, as if there is little doubt that a woman can be immoral when seeking an abortion. I think the discussion of wanted pregnancies, complicated health issues, familial concerns, ideological desires...I just think at the end of the day it's not important why. I really don't need to understand why a woman wants an abortion, I really don't need her to be a tragic story for me to care. I think her adult autonomy is motivating enough. I think a lot of people struggle to see women as truly autonomous beings in their own right, and so abortion as an issue of simple body autonomy is just too uncomfortable for most people even when they are sympathetic to women. I really truly believe fundamentally in absolute, unconditional abortion. There is not a single condition you could dream up that would cause me pause.
