This is going to be a long day. Miss you Ma! Poem I wrote for my Momma and placed for her to keep forever by her heart.
Dedicated to my Momma in Heaven
A caring hand when needed,
giving two if the task seems tough.
Sharing words of wisdom, making you stop
and think when you think you've had enough.
Always there to listen and at times give advice.
Speaking words of honesty and kindness was truly your best vice.
If ever one needed something big or something small..
You were always there saying, "Oh no, no, no it's no trouble at all.
Giving, giving, and giving never taking in return...
Asking for a smile and a thank you is what you said you will ever redeem.
For a good deed never goes unnoticed by the one who keeps our heart clean.
This is something you have always said.
Telling us, "File it away in your head..
as one should at least do a good deed before laying down in bed".
Then one day it all seemed to stop. Your smile
seemed to have faded, and the glow always carried
with you was turned down to dim.
You gathered us all together saying..
"It's just about time to go home to HIM".
We knew that it was coming; I especially didn't want you to go.
For whom would I talk to when life seemed low?
You were always there for me with a smile and a little cheer.
You gave me encouragement saying, "You're the strongest of them all..
Now put that smile back on your face and hold your head high...
Don't let life get you down or pass you by!"
I've heard those words from you since I was twelve.
Telling me to always have a smile and stay positive...
Cause you never knew who may need your extra cheer.
Those words have stayed with me, and I live by them every single day.
No matter what,my smile is bright,my attitude positive,and my head high.
Held high in hopes to see you flying amongst the angels in the sky.
As I feel my smile widen and attitude stays true to form.
I know you are still among us..only in angel form.
