In some black communities there’s still a stigma that kinky or coarse hair is “bad”, which couldn’t be further from the truth. There’s no such thing as good or bad when describing someone’s natural hair texture or type. To those struggling to love and accept their natural hair because of societal pressures, remember this - straight, curly, kinky or wavy, it doesn’t make a difference. Embrace your hair the way it is, no matter what society tells you. All hair is good hair. It’s your Crown.

Nowadays the Hip Hop fashion that the culture's icons wear seem to draw on the trends from the 1980s and 1990s. Media shows Hip Hop artists wearing designer wear, such as, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, etc. Also, these artists can be seen wearing outfits with tribal patterns or prints that is elaborate. And, because of the idea of being "Welcome to the Machine" and the Feedback Loop device, the Hip Hop community that reacted positively to these trends previously are more than happy to wear these refurbished styles.
Though Hip Hop artists are drawing on what used to be stylish in the 80s and 90s, they have found a way to bring their own identity to this old school Hip Hop fashion to renew and transform the afrocentric and sportswear styles to be more defined for modern day. Since the Laundromat on Adinkra Street brushed you up on the timeline of Hip Hop fashion (1980s & 1990s and current day) and the Media's impact on broadcasting artists who determine the community's latest styles and trends, it is closing time. Thank you and until another day when you are "Welcome to the Machine".
