My current concept for her is of a call center worker in a space opera setting. You can imagine just how miserable she is.

She finally gets to let loose when she gets the option to travel through the Galaxy.

My first attempts at drawing Mercy Ashem, a mercenary from a humanoid species.

I've never put myself in positions where I have to draw alien characters, so drawing her is very new to me. I look forward to growing into becoming comfortable drawing and coloring her.

I came up with the prompt of “flirty starpilot gets his conquest foiled by his plucky sidekick” and wondered “hmm, but what type of woman would this starpilot finally fall for?” And the answer was “a sexy older woman who could kick his ass and calls him babygirl”. So here is my first drawing of Qardin and Ody with Mercy being mentioned with “Aranea Highwind” for the meantime

First look at Katyan~

I drew this about 2 years ago. While doing the sketch the neck was fine but while doing the lineart something went wrong and Ody’s neck turned out very long but there was nothing I could do to change it

I had come up with Ody’s design years ago. Her and her gal pal (tbp) were fun designs I’d made for a sci-fi story I considered writing, but I never managed to make it work. It wasn’t until I came up with Qardin and his wacky hijinks that I decided to bring them on board. You can see the base for what would be Ody’s updated design.

I did fanart of Lancer in 2020 because it was his birthday year and he was my fave back when I first watched it in 2009. And since these two

After designing new clothes for them during the next couple of days after creating them but not coloring those outfits I decided to make a base and just draw all the outfits on them!

Now I just wish I had made the pieces of clothing different layers so I could mix and match their clothes as well orz

I’m definitely doing more eventually, this is just a start.

Btw, the ones that say “Mospeada” are a reference to Genesis Climber Mospeada, a sci-do anime from the 1980s that was part of Robotech back in the day. I thought it would be fun for them to make fun sci-fi references from time to time.

I got the urge to redesign some old OC’s of mine from when I was a kid.

Her name was “Daylee” inspired by the guys in the Ba Sing Se from Avatar. I’m just going to call her Dana Lee, the Red Dahlia.

My hand slipped…

I said in this post that I was so mad about Jiang Cheng’s ending in the animation that I had to cool down. After talking things out with my friend I spent like an hour doing this which started just as something to calm myself down and suddenly I was coloring everything. Ngl, I love how this turned out.
