1 Samuel 2 ~ I've always believed in God, I just didn't always believe Him. Think about that for a second. There is a difference between believing He exits and trusting Him with my life. Once I began to trust Him, everything changed. Of course, I had to step out in faith and face things I didn't want to face in order to learn to believe Him. He took me through deep waters and put me in uncomfortable situations to show me that when I make Him my Rock, I can actually survive things I thought I could not. I still cannot get over the fact that the day to day anxieties that were crippling my life have either disappeared or become less of a focus. That's all God. He is my Rock. Without Him, there is nothing. #GoodMorningGirls

He is able and where He guides, He provides. I have experienced it firsthand before and expect to again. I'm asking God for a God-sized dream that will bring Him all the glory and lead others to Him. I stopped dreaming awhile ago. Life does that to us sometimes. Today, I pray to have a dream that needs God to intervene, like Hannah's dream to have children in 1 Samuel 1.

Let go of your excuses for reading the Bible and just start. Today is Sunday, January 8th. Why not start a Bible reading plan today? I never thought I could follow through with one until I actually did it. I have a link to an awesome one in my profile. It keeps me interested because it jumps around. If not that one, go into the Bible app and browse the different options there--add me and others as a friend and you can have accountability. Make 2017 the year we all read the Bible daily. Maybe the Bible in a year is too much. There are 3-year plans where you read 1 chapter a day. Today, I'll share my tips for being successful with a Bible reading plan in a post later today. So check back! Today, I am on week 16, day 1 of my plan and on Sundays, I read the Epistles or letters. Right now you may feel that sounds foreign. It used to be foreign to me too. I did not know Bible jargon--it's not necessary to know a term to have a relationship with Jesus, but once I learned the different parts of the Bible, it encouraged my interest even more. So now I'm off to read 1 Corinthians 15-17, the culmination of another book of the Bible. It's quite satisfactory.

Prophecy... the more you read the Bible, the more these books make sense. I love when I recognize prophecy fulfilled in the New Testament. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I feel like a rockstar. But to be honest, many times I find myself reading the margin notes in my Quest Study Bible. It's the only way I can make sense of most of it. Today is week 15 day 6. I cannot believe I'm almost 1/3 of the way through the Bible for the second time!
