I have really been enjoying playing with pastel colours and promarkers at the moment and wanted to combine this with my love of stippling. Here's the first result.

Been taking a break from drawing over the last few months, mainly for some badly needed holiday time. However, I have been inspired along the way by the beautiful sandstone pebbles and colours found around my local coastline. As a result, I have started on a journey full of pastels colours and lines. Here are a few examples :)
The first of my Animal Vegetable Mineral series.
Animal - Metacarpal bone from a seabird
Vegetable - Tulip petal (Tulipa)
Mineral - Amethyst
I decided to try out this concept by bringing these elements together based on their colourings. I loved how they seemed to compliment each other and yet still hold their own individual strength.
I'm really happy with how this has turned out, what do you guys think?

With this little act, I want to encourage more growth around the UK to help our wee pollinators and other local critters! Plant them in your garden, plant pots or if you don't have a green space give them to someone who does and do your bit to support our wildlife!
This applies to any customer based within the UK as these seeds are of a British species and could be invasive if planted overseas.

This is an image of my set of three pinecone prints that a lovely customer had framed on their wall. I think the colours work really well and the prints make quite a statement! Thank you for your purchase!
I can't believe it is the last day of this challenge! I've had great fun taking part and I hope you have enjoyed following the process! My aim was to help people learn a bit more about my work and who I am so I hope this challenge has given some new insights into those areas. I've certainly benefited from it!

🔸Day 29 🔸 " Most difficult make" of #marchmeetthemaker
So this is a commissioned piece I did for someone awhile back. It was certainly one of the most challenging drawings I've done due to the level of accuracy needed on the anatomy of the skull. It took a number of attempts to try match up both halves of the face so it looked natural, the mouth was particularly difficult. This is also the largest work I've done to date. While I worked on it I decided to call the polar bear Harvey and he now lives happily in Canada!
