It's been 7 years since I've taught at more than 1 studio for a year. It was scary leaving my home base and Fate led me to a new place where I couldn't have asked for a better group of students. In my early 20's, because of circumstance, my birthdays were not so great. As I turn 30 this week I feel this unexplainable pressure no matter what anyone says. You could be Derek Jeter and I still wouldn't change the way I've been feeling. However, as I look back on my later 20's I see some of the best birthdays of my life. I see love, friendship, inspiration, kindness, and the best people to share them with. There is absolutely no reason this year shouldn't be any better! Here are just a few of the many, many heartwarming memories and well wishes that make me smile to bits and help remind me everything will be ok. #fbf 2 yrs ago. New posted video and one of my most popular from the old channel with 20,000 views. Guess it was the popularity of the song when it was released! There were a lot of comments about it being too dark, not enough leaps and turns or technique on which I had this to say: "if you're looking for dances w/a bunch of turns, tricks, and flips you're watching the wrong channel. That is not all that makes a dance. There is beauty in simplicity and movement that naturally comes out from the heart in the moment. Maybe some of my other dances that aren't improvs will be more eye-catching... But not "Human". It's meant to be felt." (at New York, New York)
