"Nice to met you my dear. I'm Hope." He signed finger spelling his name and then doing his sign name. "And it's not a problem. It was the right thing to do. I couldn't just leave you in there."

"still, not that many people would have done that for a stranger" she laughed. " I would have left myself if i was able to breathe"

He watches her in silence and nodes along. “Oh well….I’m sorry. That must suck. I can’t imagine that. Although I’d freak out if I just started hearing out of no where.” He signs and softly chuckles.

"It's okay.. Its just the fact that the panic attack somehow caused it this time.. or a combination of the two at least." She laughs. "I'm sure you would. It took time getting used to. I'm Lauren by the way." she signs, taking time to spell out her name. " I feel rude not introducing myself now that i've calmed down. Thank you for saving me"

He smiled softly and sat down in front her. "Well you'll feel better soon promise." He signed still watching her concerned for the other. "Are you losing your hearing? Like was it going before this?"

" I hope so.." She sighs. "It has to do with this disease, I have. It was recent so i don't know much about it but my hearing comes and goes." She signs back. " My ears can be perfectly fine one second and then the next I can't hear a thing."

"I got you, okay?" He signed and scooped her up in his arm. He knew the best thing was just to get her out and away from everyone. Hope carried her out to the side walk and put her down. "Better? He signed.

Lauren nodded her head slowly. She was happy to be away from the druggies and out of that party. She let him scoop her up and carry her outside where she  could finally begin to breathe better. When he put her down she took a few deep breaths with her hand on her chest before looking up at him. "As better as I can be I guess. I'm just glad my panic attack is going away but I still can't hear..." She sighs before continuing. "its been happening for a while but i'm still not used to it"

Hope was dragged out by Jordan go another party. He didn’t mind much tonight. It was nice to get out. He young male walked though the rooms and soon found a young girl who wasn’t having any fun at all. Quickly he walked over to her. Mouthing the words he signed out of habit.

"You okay?"

Lauren looks up still startled by it all. She quickly responds talking and signing at the same time, not being able to tell if he can hear her or not. "no.. I can't breathe. There's too many drugs around me. I can't hear anymore." She tries to take deep breaths. "I don't know what's going on, I knew this party was a bad Idea"

Lauren sits on the floor in the corner looking out at everyone.. "why can't I hear anything?" she thinks to herself. She's still trying to scream or find someone who can sign but all the smoking around her is making her voice horse. As she hyperventilates she spots a familiar face coming towards her. she looks away from the hookah and wipes a tear from her cheek trying to calm down

Lauren enters the dark room alone, immediately being hit in the face by the strong smell of marijuana circulating the air around her. One of her friends from the football team had asked her to come even though it's not her thing and of course he is no where to be found. That is when one of the more roudy party-goers screams "HOOKAH!" at the top of their lungs and everyone gets up and runs for that corner of the room where Lauren was standing and immediately started lighting all of the paraphernalia they could get their hands on.

all of the smoke got heavier and heavier, as Lauren slid down the wall covering her mouth with both her hands, and breathing heavy. She couldn't hear the music anymore, in fact after a few seconds she thinks "I can't hear anything." In a panic she starts doing the sign for "help" to all the people in the group not knowing what else to do, but everyone just keeps laughing. 

"somebody help me!" she tries to scream, but she can't hear herself to adjust her voice to the music that she can feel increasing. She could feel the pulse of the stereo vibrate on her body but she couldn't hear the sound of her own voice.
