what does it mean to be invisible and hyper-visible at the same time? here, I am referencing Bell Hooks' "oppositional gaze", actively looking past the simultaneous hyper-sexualization and dehumanization that has been historically placed on Black women. by distorting the perspective of the piece, I am asserting that I am supposed to be in the space, are you?
