Such “wooden” acting, said no woman ever. Do you know who uses that insult to his acting ability? Dudebros who have never seen him in anything but action. Mind you, action movies have a male protagonist who typically looks constipated, so no surprise there.

But his romances that he’s done? Shakespeare, for crying out loud? The dramas and thrillers? That’s where he shines, especially in regard to his range. It’s the action movies that he throws his time into training so hard for all the action sequences to stay true and be just right. That seems to be what people see. Why? Because those are the big blockbusters.

This is why I’m glad he has so many types of movies coming out right now. You see the action again in John Wick and how much work he put into it, but you get to see him in comedy with Always be My Maybe and Toy Story 4. Our man can do it all.

That’s how we got from Ted “Theodore” Logan to John fucking Wick.
