How I imagine Wade and Stryker’s relationship in X-Men Origins.

(To give more of a reason for his mouth being sewed shut. No, it wouldn’t make anything better. I just like seeing a justification for somebody’s actions even if I don’t agree.)

Most origins poolverine fanart I see: Wade is the top.

Most origins poolverine fanfic I find: Howlett is the top.

I know people have preferences but it’s weird to see such a divide with not much between. I don’t know if I’m the only one who sees this or I’m just unlucky.

(Yes, I have seen fan art with Howlett as the top and fanfics with Wade as the top. But not many.)

I don’t know if anyone has done this idea before or not but here it is.

The movie Deadpools are brothers. And by that I mean Weapon XI from X-Men: Origins and the modern Deadpool from the Deadpool trilogy. And yes, I call Origins Deadpool “Weapon XI” because I like the name.

Here’s how I think the dynamic would go:

Weapon XI is the older brother. He’s pretty expressive of his emotions since he’s unable to talk with his mouth is sewn shut. However, he is still able to make muffled sounds. (Listen carefully to the final battle in the game version of the movie to understand what I mean.) He’s a loving puppy to his younger brother. He doesn’t care too much about his younger brother’s hatred of him. Even though deep down, he’s very depressed about how he got turned into Weapon XI and his younger brother’s words and actions hurt a lot more than he shows. He still loves his younger brother and shows it a lot while still giving the Deadpool attitude.

Modern Deadpool is the younger brother. He is still the same Deadpool from the movies when it comes to his character. He hates the existence of his older brother because of how terrible of a take it was on the character. He always confused about how his older brother is alive after he killed him in the ending of Deadpool 2. He makes it very clear that he doesn’t like his older brother but also has a soft spot for him. Especially with how caring and expressive his older brother is, he finds it hard at times to be mean. He sometimes does nice things for his older brother but does his best to hide his soft side. (Even though, his older brother can easily see it.)

That’s all I can type down for right now. I just wanted to type down this idea. Unsure if I’ll make a drawing for it or not.

Also, Weapon XI was under mind control and that’s why he’s seen emotionless in the movie. But here, he’s free and that’s why he’s as  expressive as he is. And he survived his younger brother’s attempt to kill him because his has an Adamantium skeleton and people just keep forgetting that.

Kinda forgot that I had a Tumblr account. I don’t know how old this account is and this is going to be weird for my first post. But I need to get this off my chest as it has been bothering me ever since I first discovered it.

Before I begin, I will be coming off pretty  aggressive and mean during this rant. If you believe this and enjoy it, please know that I don’t hate you. I just don’t understand the concept of this theory and it confuses the crap out of me. So please understand that before reading further.

With that out of the way, I don’t understand the whole fan theory of Worst Wolverine from Deadpool & Wolverine 2024 and Wolverine from X-Men Origins: Wolverine are the same person.

I’ll knock this out right off the bat that I understand the appeal of this theory and the potential fics it can produce. I get it and why people would like it for that reason. However, for me personally, I don’t like it.

First, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is technically a part of a trilogy with The Wolverine 2013 and Logan 2017. I know that Fox’s X-Men universe is a boiling hot mess but this part alone is true. Literally the Wolverine from Logan is the same character from X-Men Origins. It doesn’t make sense for Worst Wolverine to be X-Men Origins Wolverine.

Not to mention that we don’t entirely know Worst Wolverine’s backstory besides what was said and shown in the film. I know people are going to point out the flashbacks that are displayed when Cassandra Nova enters Worst Wolverine’s head, but those aren’t his memories. It wouldn’t make sense since we see a flash from Logan and we all know what happened at the end of that movie. I just believe they were there for nostalgic reasons since Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine or there’s some weird psychic connection between variants that allows them to see each other’s memories if something was caused it happen or whatever.

Now, I’m not saying that Worst Wolverine couldn’t have had a similar story to X-Men Origins but that doesn’t mean that they’re the same person. It just… puzzles me why people would think that they’re the same person.

One thought and I kinda hate it is that because X-Men Origins: Wolverine wasn’t that great of a film and this is apparently the “Worst” Wolverine that means that they have to be the same person. I hate this thought because just because it was a bad film and this is apparently the “Worst” Wolverine doesn’t mean they are the same person. Every Wolverine has thought themselves to be the worse. Just because a character is called the worst doesn’t mean they from a bad movie.

So, yeah, I don’t like this theory at all and it’s a turn off for me when it comes to fics with it and that’s sad as some of those fics are interesting to me.

Now, I have to reiterate this that if you like and believe this theory, good for you. I don’t hate you for it. You can do whatever you want with it and I don’t care. I’m just not going to engage with it as it’s not for me. I just don’t like the concept of it.

I had to get this off my chest as it felt like I was the only one who didn’t seem to like this theory while everyone else did.
