i’ve always liked Elain.

but i’m not naive. i know we barely have any material about her because she’s been intentionally kept in the background. we’ve never had her pov, and there are still so many things we don’t know about her.

what always drew me to her was her potential. i just found her really interesting.

but at the same time, before i ever joined the fandom, i also saw so much potential in nesta. in fact, when i was reading the books, especially acowar, nesta was probably the sister who intrigued me the most. every time she appeared, i was fascinated by her. i couldn’t wait to learn more about her. i ended up loving acosf, even if there were a few things that disappointed me.

the point is, liking elain now never meant i didn’t like the others. i liked all three sisters (omg acomaf😩💙💜) i just naturally found myself paying more attention to nesta and elain because i already knew they were going to get books eventually. i started the series after acosf had already been released, so i knew from the beginning that feyre’s story wasn’t the end. i knew the focus would eventually shift, so i was constantly trying to understand who nesta and elain really were beneath what we’d been shown.

and elain always stood out to me.

but then i joined the fandom💀

and i don’t know how to explain it, but seeing the amount of HATRED she gets triggered some kind of protective instinct in me (she is my mate)

i already loved her, but now i love her in a completely different way. i genuinely feel protective of her, like she’s my baby. that’s really how it feels. i just want to shield her from all the bad-faith takes and constant dismissal.

how can you not see that she’s capable of so much more. that she’s not made of glass. that she’s ready for something BIGGER. i genuinely believe she’s going to surprise everyone, and i can’t wait to see it happen.

one thing i do hate is how this fandom has changed the way i see some characters. there are characters i used to really like, or at least had nothing against, and constant fandom discourse has genuinely made me enjoy them less. i wish that hadn’t happened.

but if there’s one positive thing that came out of it, it’s that it made my love for elain even stronger.🩷🩷🌸🩷🌺🩷🌹🩷

i used to be such an azriel girl. and even now, i still prefer elriel. but i’ve reached a point where i honestly don’t care who elain ends up with as long as SHE is happy.

because that’s what i want from HER book.

i don’t want to read a book that’s about AZRIEL??? (i really love him though)

i want to read elain’s story.

i want her to be the center of everything for ONCE.

I honestly have a sincere question for Eluciens. I'll preface and say that I prefer Elriel but I really want the next fmc to be Elain. So for Eluciens, how will you feel if Gwynriel was to happen before Elucien?

I've never understand the united front that Gwyriels and Eluciens have had during the last couple of years. I never understood why there couldn't be seperate facebook groups for Elucien and Gwynriel when most Gwynriels don't like Elain. I'm sorry but that is true. At the end of day, I want Elain's story next and if that is with Elucien then let's do it. I don't think Gwyn should get a book before Elain. I just don't.

I'm an Elriel. I'll get that out there before asking this question. Am I wrong to feel like the storyline concerning Koschei would not move forward with Gwynriel at all? With Elriel or Elucien, I feel like either pairing would be critical to Koschei since Elain would be the fmc, but Gwynriel? I'm not seeing it.

One part that gives me pause in ACOSF is when they talk about Feyre’s pregnancy and how Elain figured it out first. What gives me pause is Azriel changing the subject and asking if Mor knows. Thoughts?

I see antis say this all the time like it is some sort of “gotcha” but it isn’t at all when look at the canon

Feyre in Acotar-has a spark in her chest over Tamlin.“That smile of his sparked something bold in my chest.”… Loved him so much she literally died for him…next book is her and Rhysands love story.

Nessian in Acofas- Cassian buys Mor lingerie for Soltice, Nesta rejects Cassian completely, he throws her gift away, she sleeps w a bunch of people and they don’t see each other for 10 months… the next book is her and Cassian love story.

Also the whole “shows no interest in Elain” after the Soltice scene w Gwyn isn’t even canonically true. We see 3 days later he is in training w Gwyn upset over Elain.. Three days passed with no word from Cassian. He’d been replaced in training by a stone-faced Azriel, who was more aloof than usual and wouldn’t even give her a smile. We know he’s upset bc Rhysand forbid him from Elain… and in Hofas he is still upset over his love life when asked about it, if something was starting w him and Gwyn or he was interested in Gwyn at all why would he still be upset? This tells us that at the time of Hofas he is most likely still upset over Elain.

If anything that spark couldn’t have meant much to him if he’s still focused on and upset over Elain even when he’s around Gwyn after and then barely cared she was kidnapped to the blood rite.

I think about Azriel saying in ACOSF that his eyes can't be blinded. In books, remember when someone says one thing can't happen then it usually does. Koschei is going to manipulate his shadows imo.
