My main story takes place in the early 1900s around the Crested View Cottage. The cottage is a human mansion that is rented out as a vacation home, usually in the spring and summer. In the woods just outside the Cottage lives the Crested View Colony, a group of ~16 borrowers living together in an underground burrow. The colony consists of active borrowers, hunters, foragers, artisans, etc, who all work two provide for each other.
Characters -
Maple “May” Stalk: The ‘main’ character I’ve previously introduced. She’s one of the colony’s main borrowers, and took up the job about a year ago after an accident left her father unable to borrow. She’s adventurous and a little too sure of herself.

Oliver Morris: A human, older teen, boy who often stays with his family as the Crested View cottage durring the summer. He’s often told he acts too young for his age and wants to enjoy the few summers he has left before adult hood.
Ivy Sprig: Lily’s younger sister, Ivy is a sewer who prefers to stay hidden away from the bigger world. She amiable and enjoys baking and sometimes ventures out to find forgeable ingredients. She also has a not so secret crush on Bramble.

Lily Sprig: Ivy’s older sister, Lily is a metal smith. She’s less social than her sister but enjoys the company of her close friends.
Bramble “Bram” Ash: Bramble is a hunter and the most fighting savvy of the friend group. While Maple knows how to navigate human structures, Bram is a natural survivalist. He’s a bit prideful and because of that he and Maple are playfully competitive with each other. He’s also a major himbo who is completely oblivious to Ivy’s feelings toward him.
I’ll eventually get around to adding art for all of them, and I might add more details as time goes on.
