Hello! Welcome to my personal blog. The name's Moth. Here's where I post all my art, along with stories, writings, commissions, or art series I do. You're welcome to stay here all you like, friend, but be warned we some simple rules around here.

This blog is a sfw account. It may have suggestive content at times (so be warned), along with some suggestive jokes, but nothing ever blatantly nsfw. You will not find that here on this blog. If there ever is something of that context, it will be properly tagged and have the proper warnings to give everyone the chance to decide if they wish to view or read it at their own risk. Other than that, this blog tries to stay as far away from that stuff as possible, if it can. Anyone is welcome to read, reblog, and interact with my content. This is a place for everyone to have some fun! However, please don't make it weird for me or others.
Do not be discriminatory or hateful towards this blog, me or others who interact, or any of the characters/stories within it. They are fictional characters in made up worlds, but still, don't be cruel. They're just meant to tell stories. That's it. I got a comment on my youtube video unboxing my velevt spider referring to my spiders as a hobby, and while i know this is correct it still felt weird. What do you mean hobby? Those are my friends, my companions, my army.
i am of the sincere belief that if ur on ur computer a lot you should visually customize it to high hell and back not just for funsies but also because it has literally made me less depressed before. its kind of like how rearranging your bedroom is good for your brain, yknow. i do stuff like this every few months
LIVE WALLPAPER: wallpaper engine. only thing on here that costs any money (its like 5 bucks on steam). im sure theres free alternatives but this one has a lot of presets and stuff so its less hassle and its what i use. might be a bad idea for lower end pcs tho
CUSTOM TASKBAR: retrobar on github (lots of different options)
CUSTOM CURSOR: theres a lot of places to find these, but rw-designer open cursor library is a good place to start
DISCORD: betterdiscord, im using the clearvision v7 theme with a custom background
EXTENSIONS (these are for firefox, might or might not exist on other browsers):
tabliss for the new tab theme
stylus for tumblr -> specifically the 'tumblr - custom dashboard pallette' theme for colors + bg, and this for the pre-twitterifcation layout
enhancer for youtube for custom youtube colors

Something I see getting overlooked a lot when discussing queercoding in historical media is that in many cases it's not evidence that the writers secretly shipped it; it was aimed at straight dudes specifically to freak them out. Depicting a male villain as sexually interested in a male hero reads as horror to the cishet male audience. Like, Venom didn't spend years and years being blatantly characterised as Spider-Man's creepy stalker ex because Marvel's writers were all closeted yaoi fans. That was meant to be scary – which of course doesn't mean you can't read it differently, but don't give them credit they don't deserve!
