.smth about extremely repressed and suicidal trans girl having the “evil” version of herself tell her that she looks good in a dress. and then she tells that reflection that she wants her dead. Yeah
i had a fun time at the con last weekend. Had to pretend I didn't remember a guy I used to be friends with in high school because I blocked him years ago. Told him my depression got so bad in college that I started losing memories (true). But I actually remembered him because I gifted my ex bf a realistic flip phone prop then he gave it to the guy I blocked and I was pissed.
I blocked the guy not because of that, but because he saved my friend's photo as his phone wallpaper without her permission and it felt creepy
Summary: Upon coming to the beach, Lohen decided to take a rest after a fun battle. He listens to the waves, just as he did back on Dornman Port. It's been a while. He misses home.
The ocean breeze cleanse the lung into a state of tranquility, cricling the airways to snatch off any filth that makes it uneasy to breathe. The waves crashing by the bed of sands, wetting it with a forceful pang to resound thousands of cluttering water drops. The cool air brushes against hot skin, lowering it as it carries the warm away from the body. Sandy landscape exude a softness of a gentle touch, a comforting feel that invites for a lay. In a land of foreign sight yet familiar wind, there stood a knight covered in the glory of his homeland.
Lohen indulges in the calmness of the shore. He takes deep breath as he let himself fall into the peace. With the wetness of blood still damp from the previous fight, he takes a sit at the edge of the wave's flow. His ears filled with nothing but the waters playing its melody ever so carefree. Never missing a beat as it drops another echo onto the land. It thrashes by his feet with a droopy splash. The wind carresses his face of a job well done, patting every brush of his hair appreciating his hard work on eliminating the hunt of the day.
Just as he lost in the moment, reminiscing of a time where he's back home, a covered hand of handkerchief rub against his face. Never opening his eyes even for a peek since he knows who it was. Instead, he leans deeper into the touch of warm hands. He can hear the other person's sighing. Another routine of nagging is coming his way.
Illuga, remained cleaning the blemishes ruining Lohen's face, uttered in discontent. "Sir Lohen, I told you many times to return to the watch after hunting. It's dangerous to stay out here like this."
"Worried about me, birdie?" Lohen smiled, a satisfying one for getting his attention onto him. "I know you'll come look for me."
"If you know, then so help me." Illuga cleaned the last spot in a slow pace, not wanting to leave the grasp he initiated too early. "I'm quite busy so please cooperate next time."
"If I didn't do this, you'll drown in that stupid papers." Lohen argued, "You should enjoy the moment once in a while."
Once all blood has been wiped, Illuga retreats his hand to the side and silently watch the other. His eyes that was close is now open, gazing towards into the dark sea. It seems endless with the absence of light, the edge is almost invisible to the eye. The sky and sea has become one it seems. The ripples reflecting lights are mimicking the stars. The deep void it colors itself in is copied without a fault. And Illuga's eyes attached to Lohen's face instead.
His eyes illuminates a sense of longing, a desperation to see what is yearned in his heart. Its iris soften for the image he wanted to present before his eyes, a wish come true for an hour of rejoice. His smile curves in an angle that depicts a state of melancholic acceptance. It exudes a statement of reassurance, perhaps for himself, that what he craves to perceive will come to be.
Illuga smiled as he said, "…You miss home, do you?"
"Yeah." Lohen answered in a soft whisper, "More than you can imagine."
"Mondstadt must have been an amazing city if it gets someone like you to stick around." Illuga fluttered a few giggles.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"When this all ends and you get to go home," Illuga's hand landed on Lohen's as if it's natural, finding the place it has accustomed to hold. "Can I come with you? I want to see the Mondstadt that you love."
Lohen gripped his hand, engulfing Illuga's entirely under his palm. "Of course. Anything for you, birdie."
(The only thing popped up in my head is the beach(saltwater) and I would love to write about KH again but I've been daydreaming about my OCs too much and it'll definitely be out of context so I decided to write some Illuhen bcos it's been a while since I last wrote them lol. I know I've been writing too much soft Lohen. It's bcos I can't write unhinged shit fr asdfghjsk)
(This is basically just my idea of "what if Varka never told Flins anything about how he felt before leaving Mondstadt (even though he knew that they both knew about each others feelings) because he knew that one day Flins would have to watch him die and he didn't want to hurt him that way, but Flins decided fuck that because if he is going to grieve him anyways might as well make some beautiful memories" + the inspiration I got from a lovely picture of Flins in Dornman Port (original post unrelated))
There is a dream in front of you (he is too close and not far away enough). He has purple hair, a soft voice and golden eyes. He has a gentle smile and the most beautiful laughter. When he walks his steps are filled with elegance and when he fights he looks like he's dancing.
He is not a dream you should be having. (You are in Mondstadt and he is supposed to be in Nod-Krai abandoned).
But there he is. In Dorman Port, standing in the middle of flowers, looking like he belongs. (He doesn't, he can't. You promised yourself you wouldn't force him to).
You blink. Once. Twice. He's not disappearing. (He has to. You already looked away once, you can't go through it again).
He is getting close, too close. (You have to run. You have to walk away. You promised yourself that you wouldn't tie him to you that you wouldn't make him grieve you).
He is in front of you and you know you are not actually dreaming. (You don't want to run away anymore).
He holds you hand with more delicacy than it deserves. (You left him behind, alone, abandoned). He still looks at you like you are someone he loves.
He smiles and you know you've lost, (maybe the grief is worth it, maybe you can dream a little).
--------------------------------------------
There are no dreams in Dornman Port, just a man who has finally come home.
Another thing I love about varflins is that, in my perception, theirs is exactly the dynamic Flins would like.
Flins was likely always a forced top in previous flings simply because he's tall and appears slightly intimidating to the general population... however he would probably love to be tossed around- his personality tells us he prefers letting someone else do all the work while he enjoys himself, and he's a lantern he's meant to be held, he would thrive under the princess treatment but it was simply almost never given to him because there are very few men who would pick up a 190+cm tall cemetery groundskeeper and spin him around...
So when Flins first saw Varka, had to actually look up to make eye contact, I imagine his brain lit up like a christmas tree. Something along the lines of, "Finally someone who can top me🥳 Now how to plant that idea in his brain so he thinks he's the one who wanted to top me in the first place..."
Flins is a twink at heart, we know this. He's just not small enough to get proper twink treatment but now he does! Good for him, good for him...
