This weekend. the hubs celebrated our 2nd anniversary, even though our actual anniversary was last Monday. We decided to go on yet another adventure, which included taking the ferry up to San Juan Island. There, we explored the island and went on a whale watching tour! It was absolutely incredible to see Orcas in their natural environment, as well as lots of other wildlife! Truly amazing! Love going on adventures with this guy, and here's to many more! Xoxo

Before we left B.C., we had to visit the Butchart Gardens. The sky opened up for us and it was a beautiful sunny day to walk through the many acres of garden!
Beautiful Victoria, B.C.
Brad and I spend a couple days in B.C. It was his first time in Canada, and my first time on the British side of Canada. We walked onto the ferry from Anacortes>Friday Harbor>Sidney, B.C. and stayed downtown in Victoria. Cloudy day but gorgeous sights to see!
Things have been quite busy for me lately, so I finally have the time to catch up on a few things including blog posts. I was fortunate enough to spend Mother's Day weekend in Orlando with my family, and just the weekend before was my parents' 30th wedding anniversary! It was wonderful to see them and celebrate with them, here are a few photos from the trip!
Mount Vernon Tulip Festival 2014
Every year in April people flock to Mount Vernon, WA to witness the natural beauty of the acres upon acres of tulip fields. The hubs and I made our first trip over on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, and these photos capture vibrant colors of all the flowers. I am lucky to say I did not have to edit any of these photos to bring out the colors, these marvelous colors are raw and truly represent what they looked like in person.

New lambs!
We had no idea, but apparently one of our landlord's sheep has been pregnant the whole time we've been living here! Last week Brad came home to find two new babies in the field with her, and we were surprised! The little lambs are just so cute so we've been having fun watching them chase each other around and following their mama. Our landlord was on vacation at the time, but luckily our neighbors also own some sheep and so the lady was nice enough to spot the newborns and help get everyone settled (aka herding the male sheep and the male goat into a different field so the babies and mama could stay warm and dry in the barn). They are so cute!! Our landlord isn't too keen on naming his sheep but I've unofficially named them Salt n Pepa. :)
Wedding in Illinois!
We were happy to be able to fly to Illinois for a short weekend to celebrate Brad's cousin, Mikala, getting married to her now-hubby, Dylan! It was a beautiful wedding and it was good to see Brad's family again so soon! And the good news is Mikala and Dylan are considering moving to Seattle this summer.....fingers crossed!!!
I was fortunate enough to witness my amazing hubby flying the new jet a couple of weeks ago!! I hear about the time he spends in his "office" all the time and it was a truly amazing thing to actually see him at work! He is a fantastic pilot, and it was great to see him bouncing in the pattern on a perfectly clear day!

Well, needless to say I have been VERY busy the past few weeks taking photos!! I have met some wonderful ladies and their families who have helped me jumpstart my portfolio and my business! I am very grateful and can't wait to see where this endeavor takes me!

Yesterday was the spring equinox, and it was a beautiful one here in the Pacific northwest! Blue skies and bright floral colors are definitely welcomed after a grey winter!
