Sunflower: Loud and cheerful, the first sunlight an early summer morning, singing along to your favourite song, dancing down the stairs, holding hands as you run down the hill, the scent of fresh air through an open door, photographing down all those precious memories.
Willow: Working and working until you can barely do more, holding your friend as tight as you can, writing down every little thought in your head, that cosy worn-out sweater you’ll keep forever, closing your eyes as you lie down in the autumn leaves, dreaming yourself away.
Daisy: Smiling when you see a friend again, pale starlight through a window, not saying that much but it doesn’t matter, friendly post-it notes, listening at every word spoken, the moment the sinks down in the horizon and the sky is a billion colours.
Cactus: Throwing a punch when it’s needed, staying by their side no matter what is happening, the dark purple clouds right before a summer rain, feeling your heart swell with pride, muddy boots after running through the rain.
Rose: Walking with grace through life, late night conversations under the light of the moon, carefully wiping off the tears of your best friends face, grinning at the mirror because why not, the scent of candles in the middle of the night.
Oak: Coming home after a long tiring day outside, curling together under a blanket giggling and laughing, the scent of tea a late afternoon, listening quietly and carefully to whoever is talking, humming old songs you’d almost forgotten.
(There are of course many more wonderful Hufflepuffs out there, not one Hufflepuff are the same!)
