Holding on tightly to his own tokens he had won playing games did he really have no use for them in the end. The things at the Prize Counter didn’t attract the grade schooler in the slightest ; all Gashu was selling anyway was tokens to skip games - which where was the fun in that? And some weird video tapes. He assumed instead that giving away his tokens in return to hang out with the few survivors left was helpful enough.
