Can’t make it to the course today? Still want to throw with some friends? Here is a game that is an easy set-up in any backyard, local park, or even a non-busy street.
Single is 8 paces from the chains (24 ft)… Four Single locations
Double is 11 paces from the chains (33 ft) … Three Double locations
Triple is 15 paces from the chains (45 ft.) … Two Triple Locations
Home Run is 18 Paces from the chains (54 ft.) … One Home Run Location
Once you throw from a location, that location is closed until all Locations have been thrown from or until the next inning.
Each player starts with THREE discs.
-Each disc represents an “Out.”
-If you throw and Miss that is an “Out”
-Players must retrieve their own discs during the Inning.
-You must throw all 3 Discs before Retrieving.
-Once you Miss, that Disc can not be used until the Next Inning.
A player may throw from any location when “Up to bat”
-Only One player may be “Up to Bat” at a time.
-That player remains the Batter until they get Three “Outs.”
-Once a disc is thrown, that location is Closed

If a player uses a Disc that is already “Out”, a warning will be issued. If the infraction happens again they are penalized with an “Out.” The same applies to any batter retrieving their disc before all discs have been thrown… Warning then Penalty. This rule applies even when the result is the Third out.

If a batter throws from all 10 locations before making 3 Outs (4 Singles, 3 Doubles, 2 Triples, and the Home Run,) then all the locations re-open, and the Inning continues for that Batter. This is called “Round the Horn.”
A Single only fills in empty bases. If a man is on Third, with 1st and second base empty, A Single WILL NOT advance the runner home. A Double will score players on Second and Third. A Triple will score any player on any base. A Home Run Scores all base runners and the Batter.
Just like baseball, there are 9 innings, or rounds. Whichever player has the most runs scored at the end of 9 innings wins, unless there is a tie, where you play extra innings until the tie is broken.
To determine who has home field advantage, flip a disc and have someone call heads or tails. If more than two people are playing, then spin a pencil to determine the order, whoever the tip is pointing at is first, then spin again… etc.

For Scoring Purposes, it is nice to have a notepad to keep track of how many runners are on base. Whomever is not “At Bat” should tally the runs.

The beauty of this new game, designed by Will “Gator” Smith, and Johnny “Ace” Holloway, was to create a Putting practice that forces you to change position and put a different level of pressure on each putt (Like you would experience when putting during a round.)
Putting Practice can force bad habits by staying in one place and smashing 20 discs in the chains. During a Round, you are given One opportunity to make that Putt, not 20. With Disc Golf Baseball, you never stand in one position. Once you take that shot, you are FORCED to move on to a different location. No more stagnant putting.
