any tips for using a pull-up as a booster

yes!! i do this all the time. i do it by cutting off the stretchy side material and scoring the back with a pair of scissors, then placing it in my diaper.

with thicker pull-ups, like northshore or livdry, you can actually peel the absorbent pad off of the soft exterior. there’s usually an overlap in the material at the top and bottom of the absorbent region you can pick and start to peel. the pad has a plastic shell on the bottom. you just need to be really careful not to rip that too deeply, because if you do the fluff will come out and you will have a diaper full of gel goop 👎👎 goodnites are structured the same way but the pad is so thin i haven’t attempted to peel it.

i like doing this for added thickness and absorbency, but you do miss out on feeling the material of the original diaper. i think kiddos are softer and better at wicking than northshore, so sometimes that’s what i want right on my skin even if it means no extra material.

Can confirm absent an underlying medical condition, physical or mental (like BIID), you're not actually going to magically lose your continence and in the most extreme case - where you go 24/7 for a long stretch of time and you've conditioned yourself to let go and let your muscles atrophy, you'll still be able to retrain yourself with time and patience and in probably less time than you think.*

This does not include people that do extreme body modification and do home surgery to like cut their nerves or muscles or something. (0/10 on that btw.)

I always have this question in my mind, if you use diapers like, let's say two or three times a week, do you get so used to it you ACTUALLY have accidents???

I had read a lot about how littles just can't help it at some point, but does it actually happens or can happen?

in my experience, and from what i have heard from others, casual diaper wearing has no real effect on continence. even ppl who go 24/7 still report being able to hold it, albeit for shorter periods and with more effort than before. i know some people attempt untraining where they make a concerted effort to never hold it and lose control, but that usually takes a looong time and a lot of effort.

im guessing what you’ve seen about littles not holding it is probably fictional/hyperbole or from littles who are already incontinent.

anyone who wears for extended periods or has tried untraining want to weight in?
