skylar knew he was in the minority there. everyone else was desperate to get home. and he got it, they really did. they probably had better shit to get back to than he did. “Hold on,” Anne paused and stared at him, a shocked expression plastered over her face, “you actually want to stay here? Hunting for food?” She didn’t have anything important she needed to get back to, but she missed having a nice cold beer and the feel of the air conditioner on hot days, which was pretty much all they had on this island. “You’re probably the only one here that thinks that, but I get what you’re saying.” She really didn’t, but she was kind of desperate for a proper conversation. “And can I be completely honest with you here?”
athena hummed under their breath and poked the moss in front of where they stood with a stick she found earlier, ''I have my doubts honestly.'' turning towards where the jungle met the beach, waves roaring in the distance. they thought about their job and family, athena had come to the appalling realization that their job likely cared more about the crash than their family. ''the pacific is a big ocean... I don't think they'd find this island, I don't think it's big enough for them to find truthfully.''
She nodded slowly, completely agreeing with them, but as negative minded as Anne was, she would occasionally force herself to be a little more positive and think about what would happen when they got back to the capitalist world, “Have you ever thought about what you want to do if we ever get the fuck out of here?”
"We're never getting out of here, are we?" Her voice was barely audible as she practically spoke to herself. Anne had always been the kind of person who spent her life desperate to get as far away from home as she possibly could. But now, with the universe playing some sort of trick on her, she was desperate to go back. She looked to the person closest to her, hoping to get a response. "We've been here for ages. Are they even looking for us?”

THE PAST:
born in london, anne is the daughter of a big corporate attorney and law firm owner. she was born into a very privileged home but never really cared about any of that, especially since she has had a pretty rocky relationship with her parents. after graduating from high school, she moved to california to get away from that environment. now, she realizes how much she misses her family, even though she will never admit it to anyone.
THE PRESENT & SURVIVIAL SKILLS:
anne and her boyfriend have been together for a few years, and given the fact that they both have a very similar background, they have a good relationship - a little too good, actually. a few months ago, after a night of partying, things got a bit too wild, which resulted in a sex tape being handed to the press. in an attempt to keep things quiet, they decided to get away from everything until things cooled down. what better place to do it than a deserted island?
she's pretty athletic, and the only survival skill she has is that she can fight. she took krav maga lessons for years and can handle herself pretty well around guns and knives, but other than that, she can't really do much.
SOCIAL:
anne mostly keeps it to herself, because she knows that if she opens her mouth, she'll end up pissing somebody off. and she doesn't want to do that while everyone on that island is fighting for their lives. she has a hard time treating people nicely because she sees them as tools that will help them get to another stage in life.
