'I've been hanging around, mainly hanging upside down'.
We stumbled across some incredible places in London on Saturday, and wanted to share with you all the fun we had! We started our morning by having brunch at Grainger & Co, in Westbourne which serves theeee BEST poached eggs, everything is so fresh and cooked to perfection, we absolutely recommend. We then made our way to Love Brunch, at Madison’s Rooftop Bar in, Bank. For those that don’t know, Love Brunch is a day party that’s held every three weeks in various locations around the city, good music, good people and overall good vibes. A few of us had heard of a really funky bar, named Jerusalem which was a five minute walk from Goodge Street station, so we decided to check it out after love brunch. We arrived and it turned out to be one of the best bars we’ve been to in London, a live band were playing, some old good classics too like señorita by JT. It was so nice, cocktails were so yummy, and the crowd of people were just great. We then, popped into Groucho’s, as our friends a member and had one of the best Bloody Mary’s a girl can ask for. Groucho’s is a private members club, the art on the wall is just fantastic and the whole buildings, really very quirky. If you ever, get the chance to sneak in with a friend like we did, then absolutely go for it, and get those cocktails down your throat! We theeeeeennnn, ended up in La Bodega Negra. The roof was lifted. The DJ was just so so great, and the interior in there was mind blowing! Everything on the walls were made of cardboard, a little town made from cardboard ran all the way around the restaurant and bar, and the whole bar was candle lit. It really is a beautiful bar/restaurant and the food looked banging! We danced and danced. After this we decided to round our night off in Bodos, a club in high street Ken. Overall the night was one of the best we’ve ever had in London, purely because of how spontaneous it all was, we met some great people, tasted some of the best cocktails that London has to offer, danced to a bunch of old and new tunes and spent the entire time laughing with friends!
Workin 9-5? More like 9-never.
We wanted to create this blog to share, inspire and generally talk about the ups and downs of living a busy lifestyle in London. With our lifestyles, you never quite know when the working hours are going to come to an end, so we thought what better way to kickstart this blog than to talk about what those busy days entail. Mimi, is a fully fledged wedding planner. You know the film the ‘Wedding Planner’ where J-Lo rocks, the slick back top buns, and makes a walkie talkie and clipboard, look like the next go to fashion statement? Well that’s Mimi, she starts her day at 8.30am and doesn’t finish until that bride has a winning smile on her face! I on the other hand, have it a lot easier, I work as a PR assistant for a top luxury fashion brand and am lucky enough to start my day at the lazy hour of 10am! I mostly never know when I am going to finish, but the beauty in what we do, is we are constantly busy and constantly entertained in our jobs. We’re lucky enough to be starting out in London with jobs we both strived to do. However, that’s not to say things aren’t hard, London can really swallow you up at times. We’ve found that the key to a happy and fulfilling lifestyle in London, is to find that baaaaalance, laugh so much, at anything all the time, and most importantly F-R-I-E-N-D-S. See them, moan with them, laugh with them, cry with them and live LDN with them.
