Kurmanji Kurdish Neologism

I finally wanna share and that way take my neologisms for our language under record

The word has been derived from “to see” verb.

In Kurmanji Kurdish the verb is called dîtin and its conjugation in present continuous tense for the first singular pronoun is “dibînim”. After removing the suffix and prefix we have “bîn” then we use Kurdish production addendum -ek to derive a new word meaning “the thing being seen/watched”.

In Kurdish it literally means “land of Gaels”.

The word is feminine since it is a country name and all country names are feminine in Kurmanji Kurdish

It can be translated as “land of mountains” from Old Kurdish word kûv/kvî/kvê means mount, mountain.

A word like kwêstan or kwîstan is already in use in Sorani Kurdish and some Kurmanji dialect meaning plateau. But like in many languages we can use the word in a new meaning. In this case for Asian continent.

The word has been derived to be used for coffee drink or coffee bean.

Both the first and the second t represents a sound in Kurmanji which can not be found in English.

The word has been derived to be the translation of word “meter” or “metre”.

The word originates from Kurdish verb pîvîn which means to measure.

Words like kilometer and centimeter can also be derived from this newly derived word.

The word for kilometer will be hezarpîvanek and centimeter will be sedêkpîvanek.
