Yesterday, Eddie asked you out on a date. He is not going top take you out for diner or to go to the cinema, you are going to a breakfast date. And you love how Eddie remembered little things about you. Like how you said that breakfast was your favorite meal and how you would rather have a big fat breakfast date than to go to a fancy restaurant. You said that a while back, before you and Eddie started dating and your heart fluttered when Eddie asked you out on this breakfast date. You and Eddie aren’t official yet, you have been on a few dates, but you did not make it official yet. You are currently getting ready for this breakfast date; you chose a casual outfit and are currently trying to tame your hair. You then grab your wallet and go out to wait for Eddie. A few minutes later, Eddie parks in your driveway, he gets out of his van and greets you with a kiss on the cheek before opening the passenger door for you. The gentleman that he is helps you climb in and closes the door for you before climbing in the driver’s seat. Eddie drives outside of town, which surprises you, but you say nothing. The whole drive is spent in comfortable silence and after twenty minutes, Eddie parks in front of a diner.
“Here we are Sweetheart!” Eddie says, smiling. “Stay here.” He warns.
Eddie gets out of his van and rounds it to open the door for you and help you down. Always the gentleman, Eddie opens the diner’s door for you and you both sit at a booth. You look at the menu and you don’t know what to choose. There are so many options: pancakes, eggs, French toasts, hot cakes, cinnamon rolls, banana bread, cheesecake, sausages. Literally everything. And it is so hard to choose from all of this.
Eddie seems to already know what he wants, and you let out a huff of frustration.
“What’s wrong?” Eddie asks.
“There are so many options! I don’t know what to choose… and you already chose, and I feel like shit for not knowing what to order.” You say in one breath, panic and guilt evident in your voice.
“Hey, hey, hey breathe.” Eddie says softly. “You can take your time.”
“I haven’t even saw the drinks yet and I don’t want make you wait…” you confess.
“I have all the time in the world. I promise.” Eddie reassures you.
After a while, you finally chose to order some French toast with a hot chocolate while Eddie ordered a milkshake with pancakes.
“Thank you for this date Eddie.” You tell him while waiting for your orders to come.
“You like it?” he asks, doubt evident in his voice.
“Eddie, I love it. And I’m baffled you remembered that I’ve always wanted to go on a breakfast date.” You tell him sincerely.
“I remember everything you say Sweetheart.” Eddie says confidently.
Your order arrives and you and Eddie dig in immediately. You talk about all or nothing when Eddie nervously blurts out.
“I want to make it official. You and I…”
You smile at Eddie. “I’d really love that.”
Eddie leans into the table and places a soft kiss on your lips. You finish breakfast, tasting each other’s choices and laughing along.
This was the best date you have ever had and cherry on top, it is the date in which you made it official between the two of you. Eddie always remembers the little things about you and it warms your heart.

You and Eddie were not supposed to last. You met when Eddie was on vacation in Los Angeles and you were supposed to be a Holiday fling. Eddie literally spent his entire vacation at your place. The two of you spent every waking (and asleep) moment together; you were attached at the hip. Where you were, Eddie was as well. After a month, Eddie jad to come back home in Hawkins, and as sad as it was, your fling was over. You were not supposed to see each other ever again but fate, or more so Eddie’s forgetfulness decided against it. Eddie forgot his typewriter at your house. Yes, he forgot something as big as a typewriter.
When you saw this, two thoughts crossed your mind: Who uses a typewriter anyway and How can you forget something as big as a goddamn typewriter; but you keep your thoughts to yourself.
A few days after discovering Eddie’s forgotten typewriter, you receive a letter from him informing you that he forgot his typewriter at your place (as if you had not notice it), in this letter Eddie also wants to know when he can come and pick it up. As Eddie didn’t leave a phone number or anything except from his address, you answer to his letter by your own letter. You tell him how you are always home in Los Angeles and give him your work schedule and next vacation dates.
And here’s how you and Eddie found each other again, a few weeks after your letter exchange, Eddie is back at your place. He decided to stay for a week and the first day was going well, but the second day, you noticed that Eddie was in self-sabotage mode. Always picking up fights with you and telling you how the two of you could never work as more than a holiday fling. But you are smarter than this, you know that Eddie doesn’t mean it, you know that he is trying to push you away, you know it is self-sabotage. You know a little bit about Eddie’s life story, and you also know that Eddie is scared by your relationship. He is always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
So you decided to call him out during a fight.
“Eddie stops that!” you say, a little loud.
“Stop what?! You have your perfect little life here in Los Angeles and I leave in fucking Hawkins Indiana, we CAN’T work!” Eddie says almost screaming.
You are a little taken aback by Eddie’s tone but show nothing of it.
“First of all, my life is far from perfect Eddie, you don’t know shit about my life. All you know is what I decided to share with you! Second of all, I know why you are doing that, you are scared and it’s totally okay to be scared but you should communicate that with me instead of self-sabotaging!” You tell him sternly but not raising your voice.
Eddie shakes his head, he wasn’t expecting you to read into him like an open book, but you did. You decoded him and he wonder who else would have done that.
Eddie says your name, slowly calming down before continuing. “I really like you and I wish things were different… but I don’t see how we can make it work.” Eddie says, defeated.
“If you want this in the long run, I’m sure we can make it work Eddie, I promise I am saying that. I can come to Hawkins during my vacation, you can come here whenever you want. Or…” you trail off.
“Or?” Eddie asks, curiously.
“Or you can move into my apartment, I’ll keep paying the entire rent and you can find a job here.” You offer.
Eddie weakly smiles. “I would really like that, but I don’t want to move in with you jobless and I don’t want you to pay the full rent, so we can do that as soon as I find a job here.” Eddie answers.
You nod in answer, understanding Eddie’s point of view.
“And promise me we will communicate now; promise me you won’t try to pick on fights just because you are scared.” You tell him softly while running your thumb down his cheekbone.
“I promise.” Eddie breathes out.
You go sit on the couch, open your arms and tell Eddie. “C’me here.”
Eddie crawl into your arms and you hold him, hoping it will ease all of his doubt and fear.
“You know me so well Sweetheart.” Eddie says out of the blue.
You shrug. “I just pay attention.”
You and Eddie stay like that for a good while, you just holding him, sometimes whispering sweet nothing into his ear and scratching his head. Eddie fall asleep in your arms.
You know Eddie’s self-sabotaging habits won’t disappear like that, but at least the two of you talked it out. You think back on how your relationship started as well as Eddie’s past. You understand where he is coming from you understand his fears and insecurities, but you hope you will be reassuring enough to make those insecurities go. You also end up falling asleep on the couch, still holding Eddie close to you.
A few hours later, you are awakened with dread, Eddie’s nails digging into your skin. You gasp, and when you are awake enough to understand what’s happening you lightly shake Eddie to try and waking up. It is not the first time that you witness Eddie having a nightmare. After a few shakes of his body, Eddie’s eyes open and you can see the fear in them. He holds onto you like he would hold onto dear life.
“I’m sorry…” he says, guiltily.
“I chose this cyclone with you Eddie. “I don’t mind.” You say holding him even closer to you.
Eddie gets up and goes out on your little balcony, he takes out of his pocket some chocolate bars and lights up a cigarette. While Eddie eats chocolate and smoke, the two of you talk about music, one of you both favorite topics.
--
A day later, Eddie decided to invite you at the restaurant for dinner. Things are going good between the two of you, but you can’t stop wondering if Eddie is going to screw this up with you. You are crazy, crazy in love with him.
“Eddie?” you ask while you are waiting for your food to arrive.
“Yeah Sweetheart?” Eddie asks.
“If you ever leave, it would kill me.” You randomly tell him.
“If I am totally honest with you, it is the same for me.” Eddie then takes your hand in his. In all his goofy fashion, take the ring on your middle finger off and put it on your ring finger, grinning.
“Eddie Munson?” you ask. “Are you proposing?” you say giggling and joking around to hide how your heart is hammering in your chest?
“Not yet.” Eddie tells you. “But I honestly think that as much as it scares me, us, it is meant to be.”
You smile, in this moment with Eddie, you feel seen. All you can do is nod in answer.
--
Two months later, Eddie found a job in Los Angeles. You were the first person he called when he got the job. Eddie is currently moving in with you and none of you could be happier. Of course, Eddie still has some insecurities, and his self-sabotaging habits die hard, but you are happy together. You both feel seen. You and Eddie were meant to be, you are sure of that and cannot wait to see what the future has planned for you. Here is the story of how, thanks to a typewriter, you and Eddie’s holiday fling became a serious relationship.

You and Eddie are best friends. You have been for years. You also have been keeping a secret from him for a long time: you are in love with him. Not a simple crush no, you are head over heels in love. But you keep this information to yourself. You would rather have Eddie as a best friend than not having him in your life at all. The thing is that being around Eddie is getting harder and harder with time. You and Eddie are both touchy people, you always hug, play with each other’s fingers when you are anxious or play with each other’s hair during movie nights. Since a few months, every touch exchanged with Eddie sends a shock of electricity through your body and ignite a desire, the desire to be with him.
You currently are at Steve’s Harrington birthday party. You are currently nursing a beer, sitting right next to Eddie, your thighs touching. Eddie also casually hooked an arm around your shoulders while casually talking with Robin. You don’t even listen to whatever they are saying, too focused on Eddie’s arm around your shoulders.
“Sweetheart?” Eddie asks, waving his hand in front of your face.
“Hm?” you ask.
“Tell Robin that Eddie Van Halen is cooler than Bon Jovi.” Eddie pleads, looking at you with his puppy dog eyes.
You raise your hands in surrender. “I don’t want to be in the middle of a musical argument between you two.” You say, chuckling and knowing damn well that as much as you love Robin, if you get involved you are going to take Eddie’s side, especially with the puppy dog eyes he gave you. Robin and Eddie keep going back and forth in their little argument for a little while, and you zone out again.
Once Eddie and Robin agreed that they would never convince the other, Eddie gets up from the couch for a smoke. When Eddie gets up, but you don’t follow, as usually do, nor react, he frowns.
“Sweets?” he asks, putting his hand on your shoulder to get your attention.
“Sorry…” you tell him earnestly, shaking your head as to clear your head.
“Where d’ya go?” Eddie asks, a bit concerned.
“I was just thinking.” You answer.
When you and Eddie walk through the kitchen, you take this as an opportunity to refill your glass.
Then, Eddie and you step outside by the back door, Eddie leans against the wall before lighting his cigarette. Meanwhile, you take a sip from your drink.
“So,” Eddie starts. “What were you thinking so hard about?” he asks, always the curious one.
“Nothing interesting.” You answer, embarrassed and blushing.
“Tell me. Pretty please.” Eddie borderline begs, doing the puppy dog eyes. When he sees that you are not about to share with the class, he adds. “I am your best friend!”
You take a huge sip of your drink for courage before saying. “Promise me that no matter what I say it is not going to change things between us, promise me it won’t make you run away.”
“I promise,” Eddie says, putting a hand over his heart before adding. “Scout’s honor.”
You snort at that. “You have never been a scout!”
Eddie wraps his arm around your shoulders before saying your full name and insisting. “What was going on in that pretty little head of yours.”
You blush hard and sway from one foot to the other.
“I might…” you hesitantly start before taking a deep breath and blurting out. “I love you, Eddie.” As soon as the words leave your mouth, you close your eyes, bracing for impact.
“Duh! I’m your best friend!” Eddie says, not catching the real meaning of your I love you.
You sigh, embarrassed. “No Eddie, you didn’t get it… I mean I love you more than a friend should.”
“Since when do you know?” Eddie asks, kinda shocked.
“I have been sure of it for a year.” You confess.
“Why did you never tell me?” Eddie asks.
“It was a personal issue!” you protest.
“You being in love with me kinda also involves me.” Eddie says, amused.
You chuckle at Eddie’s answer. “Yeah but I wanted to sort it out on my own before telling you.” You answer a bit embarrassed.
“Sweetheart, your love for me is not unrequited.” Eddie confesses.
“Really?” you ask, skeptical.
“Really.” Eddie breathes out, his face inching closer to yours. You both breathe heavily, so close that you can feel the other’s breath. When the tension becomes too much, your lips crashes onto Eddie’s. You both kiss passionately and make the most of it. A few hours earlier, minutes even this seemed impossible for the both of you. Even in your wildest dreams, you never thought you and Eddie would ever be more than friends. But now, even though you have not put a label on your current relationship, you know you have crossed the boundaries of friendship. There is no going back now.
Eddie can’t believe his eyes. He just got a note from his crush, you, in his locker. Okay, it is a business note, a note to buy from him, but he never imagined this day would come. You and Eddie run in different crowds: he is well… a freak and you are a theater kid as well as a goody two shoes. You wanting to buy weed is, to say the least, surprising, but Eddie would never pass on an opportunity to see you. The only thing that makes him nervous is that the meeting with you is in an hour. Eddie does not know he can psychologically prepare himself to face his crush alone.
Eddie noticed you the first time you set foot at Hawkins High and ever since, Eddie was head over heels. Eddie is usually a confident person, well except when it comes to you. You make him nervous, hence why he never got the courage to talk to you. But now, you are handing it to him on a silver platter, you initiated contact and Eddie needs to find a way to ask you out.
Eddie is so excited (but also nervous) that he goes to the meeting point thirty minutes early. Eddie sits at the picnic table in the woods and prepares a plastic baggie of weed for you when he gets an idea. He knows, he won’t be able to ask you out, at least not out loud. That’s how Eddie ended up taking a marker out of his metal lunchbox and started scribbling the following words on the plastic baggie: Want to go out on a date? Once it’s done, Eddie proudly smiles to himself.
About five minutes after the bell rang, Eddie hears leaves scrunching behind him. He turns around and sees you, shyly walking towards him. Eddie gets up and smiles at you.
“Hey!” he says.
“Hi,” you answer, waving shyly at him. Eddie can also see that you are nervous.
“Nothing to worry about Sweetheart.” He tells you reassuringly, as if he had read your mind.
“Sorry…” you say, looking down at your feet. “I just never did that…”
“Don’t worry. It’s okay. It is like any other sale.” Eddie starts. “Except no receipt and cash only. Uh… for obvious reasons.” Eddie continues.
You nod in answer. Truth is, you are not only nervous about the sale, Eddie himself is also making you nervous. You have had a crush on him for a while, and knowing he was the only dealer who sold to the Hawkins Hugh crowd almost dissuaded you from buying. Eddie cuts your train of thoughts.
“Before giving you anything, may I ask why you decided to buy weed?” Eddie curiously asks. Before it doesn’t seem like you and deep down, you, suddenly deciding to buy weed worried him a little.
“I have troubles sleeping and I heard that weed can help.” You tell him earnestly but still shy.
“It can help.” Eddie says truthfully.
“How much do I owe you?” you ask, taking your wallet out.
“Free sample.” Eddie answers, taking the baggie he prepared for you out of his metal lunchbox.
“Oh no, really I can pay.” You say, embarrassed.
“I insist, it’s on the house.” Eddie insists.
“Thank you.” You say, blushing.
Eddie tosses the plastic baggie of weed at you and waiting for your reaction to the words scribbled on the bag.
Eddie can see you blush as you read the words. You shyly sway from one foot to the other, shyly smiling and biting your lip.
“I- I’d really like that.” You answer quietly.
Eddie grins from ear to ear.
“Really?!” he exclaims a bit too loud.
“Really.” You confirm. “I really like the way you asked me out by the way.” You confess.
“I’m glad you did!” Eddie says, blushing.
“When?” you ask.
“Would tomorrow after class be fine?” Eddie nervously asks.
“Perfect.” You answer, still shy.
“That’s a date. Picking you up at Hawkins High, on the parking lot. I drive a van, the only van in the parking lot. Tomorrow after class.” Eddie says, smiling.
“See you tomorrow Eddie” you say with a smile and a small wave.
Once you left, Eddie fist bumps the air. Meanwhile, you walk towards your home, holding the plastic baggie close to your heart.
I HAVE GOT A DATE WITH EDDIE MUNSON! You think to yourself.
Another sleepless night. You have had trouble sleeping for as long as you can remember. Night terrors when you were a kid and now insomnias. Your boyfriend, Eddie, is sleeping soundly next to you. You, however, look at the ceiling, unable to fall asleep. You know that if your boyfriend wasn’t asleep right next to you and holding you, you would have left the bed.
But you are afraid you are going to wake him up, so you stay in bed, being a very much awake little spoon. You hate nighttime because everyone is sleeping except for you. You are left alone with your thoughts, in the dark and silence.
At some point, you just can’t take it anymore so you try to delicately untangle yourself from Eddie, trying your hardest not to wake him up. Spoiler alert: it fails. As soon as your feet touch the ground, you hear shuffling behind you. When you turn around, you see your boyfriend tiredly rubbing his eyes.
“Go back to bed, Eds.” You whisper softly.
“What about you?” he asks, voice thick with sleep.
You shrug. “I can’t sleep.”
“You haven’t slept at all?” Eddie asks, concerned.
You shake your head in response.
“c’mere.” Eddie says, opening his arms for you.
“Eddie…” you protest. “You should go back to sleep.
“I want to help you fall asleep.” Eddie softly says.
“It might take a while…” you say, sighing.
“I don’t mind, I can’t sleep knowing that you are struggling.” Eddie tells you before pleading. “Please, let me help you.”
You nod and Eddie opens his arms again for you. “C’mere.” He says again.
You crawl into Eddie’s arms and lay your head on his chest.
“Tell me more about your sleep troubles.” Eddie says, trying to understand.
You shrug one shoulder. “Had them forever. When I was a little kid, I had night terrors. The older I got, the more it turned into insomnias. Maybe because I’m subconsciously scared to have night terrors.” You explain.
“Sweets?” Eddie asks, frowning.
“Yes?” you answer, raising your head to look at him.
“How many nights have you spent awake with me obliviously sleep next to you?” he asks.
“All of them…” you say. There is no point in lying, he knows about your sleep troubles now.
“Baby…” he coos. “You should have told me earlier. I would have tried to help or at least stayed awake with you.” Eddie says, ridden with guilt.
“Eddie… you need your sleep; besides, I don’t want to be a burden to you.” You argue.
“Sweetheart… I’m here for you at any time of the day or night.” He says enthusiastically.
“But I don’t want you to sacrifice your nights because of me.” You tell him regretfully.”
“I would sacrifice every night if it meant you can sleep peacefully.” Eddie says while scratching your head with one hand and your back with the other. You hum contently.
Eddie keeps scratching your heads and back, whispering sweet nothings into your ear and telling you how much he loves you.
After fifteen minutes, Eddie feels your body fully relax.
“Baby?” he asks wanting to make sure that you are truly asleep.
When your only answer is soft snoring, Eddie chuckles to himself before softly kissing the top of your head. Eddie then falls asleep with your sleeping form in his arms.
That night, you have got the best night of sleep in forever. Even as a child you never slept this peacefully.
Eddie scratching your head and back, whispering sweet nothings into your ear or even reading you a bed time story became a routine for the two of you. Every night, this little routine help you fall asleep. And whenever you are night terrors, which is less and less frequent, Eddie is here to comfort and reassure you. He always starts the process of rubbing your back and whispering sweet nothings into your ear until you fall asleep again. Step by step your sleep schedule is getting better, and it is all thanks to Eddie. You have never felt as safe and peaceful than you do with him and Eddie is glad he could help.

Trigger warnings: Mentions of failed attempts, blood, self-harm,
WC: 1K
You currently are – well were- in remission from self harm. But something happened today at school, Jason and his goons might have told you that a freak like you didn’t deserve to live.
They hit a sensitive spot and they knew it before the words left their mouth. It is purposefully why they said it.
You don’t mind being called a freak. The second part is what struck a nerve. You also don’t think you deserve to live. You have ended up in the hospital several times from trying to take the easy way out. Jason knows, hell the entire school knows about your failed attempts. This is how, you have ended up at the pic-nick table behind the football field, relapsing.
You took out a pencil sharpener, the only thing that you had on you, to create angry red marks on your already scarred skin.
Eddie found you a few moments later, arms bleeding, sobbing, and cutting yourself at the pic-nick table. Eddie runs to you, panic etched on his face.
“Sweetheart…” he says, voice breaking and willing himself not to cry.
You raise your eyes towards Eddie, not stopping the cutting. When your eyes meet Eddie’s, they well up in tears.
Eddie softly lowers your hand holding the blade before taking the bloody pencil sharpener blade in his own hands.
“What happened?” he asks, worried and fumbling with the bandana in his back pocket to take it off.
You shake your head, still crying. “I’m so sorry…” you repeat over and over. Eddie gently takes your arm and wrap it up with the bandana which is immediately soaked with blood.
Eddie’s heart breaks at seeing you like this. He cups your face in his big warm hands and make you look at him.
“Hey, hey stop apologizing. Breathe baby, breathe.” Eddie says as calmly as he can.
You follow Eddie’s breathing patterns which helps you calm down a bit. While you try to calm down, Eddie puts some pressure on your bandana covered arm to help the bleeding stop.
“What happened?” he asks again.
“Does it matter?” you ask, sniffling.
“It matters to me.” Eddie answers seriously. “You were doing so good baby; I need to know what triggered it.”
“I just relapsed because I’m weak.” You shrug.
“Baby… I’ve been here every step of the way, even in the end it wasn’t that bad. I need to know what happened. I’m scared you’ll hurt yourself even more.” Eddie says, concerned.
You sniffle once more. “Jason said something to me and it… it kinda got to me, I guess?” you say not going into any more details.
“What did he say?” Eddie asks, starting to get angry.
“It doesn’t matter…” you say not wanting to make Eddie angry even more.
“Sweetheart, it made you relapse so of course it matters. What did that dickhead say to you?” Eddie asks again.
You look at the ground. “He said out loud what people think, what I think… He said and I quote ‘a freak like you does not deserve to live’.”
Eddie clenches his jaw hard, getting angrier by the second.
“He said what?” Eddie asks, trying to keep his cool in front of you. The last thing you need right now is him being angry and he knows that. He knows that you need someone there for you right now. You need love and reassurance not hatred directed at stupid Jason Carver.
“The truth.” You say.
“Stop that baby. You deserve to live. First of all, everyone deserves to live. Secondly, you are an amazing, strong person. You are loved and you disappearing would break people’s heart. It would break my heart.” He says, rubbing your hand with his thumb.
You start sobbing again and as you do, Eddie helps you up and lead you to his van.
He drives the both of you to his trailer and sits you on his bed. Eddie runs to the bathroom, he takes some antiseptic, gauze as well as bandages and comes back into his bedroom to tend to your wounds.
Eddie starts by taking the bandana off of your bleeding arm before putting some antiseptic on the gauze.
Eddie can see that while he puts the antiseptic on your wounds, you won’t look at him. He knows you well and he knows you are ashamed.
“Baby, there is nothing to be ashamed of.” He says softly.
As you don’t answer, Eddie keeps going.
“I am going to help you, I’m here for you baby. We are going to start over, take baby steps, ‘kay?” Eddie tells you reassuringly.
You nod, not trusting yourself to speak. Eddie throws the used gauze in the bin and bandages your arm.
“All bandaged up!” he says, kissing the bandage.
“Thank you.” You sincerely say, still avoiding Eddie’s gaze.
“You know I’ll be here every step of the way, right?” Eddie tells you sincerely, looking at you with puppy dog eyes.
“I know… thank you and sorry again.” You say still looking at your knees.
“Ice cream and a movie?” Eddie asks.
You nod. Eddie and you spent the night at his place and he has been nothing but sweet. He kept taking care of you and promised he is not mad at you. He kept repeating that he is proud of how long you’ve been self-harm free before the relapse and tells you how you can do it again. Your grateful to have Eddie in your life. He never judged you once, always there to listen, to try to understand and to support you through it all. You know today has been hard on him as well, you know how worried he is about you, so when he falls asleep, his warm breath fanning over your skin, you smile before kissing his forehead.
“Thank you,” you whisper before closing your eyes.
You and Eddie met during Eddie’s second senior year and your junior year. You met in detention where Eddie sat right next to you. That is how the two of you started talking. You realized that you had many interests in common. The teacher kept shushing you during the entirety of the detention hour but the two of you never stopped talking.
When you and Eddie left detention, Eddie puts his hand on your arm to get your attention, which works as you turn around.
“Yeah?” you ask, curious.
“Wanna hang out?” Eddie asks.
“YES!” you answer, a little too loud for your liking.
“Is the pic-nick table behind the football field fine by you?” Eddie asks, bracing himself for a potential “no”.
“Yeah, sure” you answer.
On the short walk to the pic-nick table Eddie tells you all about his next D&D campaign.
You sit across from each other, and Eddie looks a little sad so you put your hand on his shoulder.
“What’s wrong?” you ask softly.
“Nothing is wrong per say. I really enjoy spending time with you, really. You are easy to talk t.” Eddie says.
You smile at his compliment before tilting your head to look at him in the eyes.
“But?” you ask.
“Uh?” Eddie answers, confusion etched on his face.
“There is a but, right? You ask before adding “I know we’ve never talked before today but I won’t judge you, you can trust me.”
“I don’t want to scare you off, because as you mentioned, we’ve never talked before today. But talking with you is so easy, I feel so comfortable.” Eddie sighs. “Talking with you reminded me talking to my best friend, Ronnie. She just left Hawkins for college and I, uh, I kinda miss her.”
“Eddie…” you coo. “You are allowed to miss her. I won’t replace her and that’s not what I want anyways. But I can be there for you. I want to be there for you.” You tell him.
Eddie surprises you when he jumps from the bench and throws himself at you, engulfing you in a bear hug.
--
After the day you met, Eddie and you kept getting closer. You both want to spend every waking moment together.
You became attached at the hip really quickly and anyone who doesn’t know you think that you’ve known each other your whole lives. You and Eddie are both touchy people. You always touch, hand holding, hugs, you name it. Which led to the current conversation with your friend Nancy Wheeler.
“So you and Eddie are a thing?” she asks casually.
At her words, you choke on your own saliva before bursting out laughing.
“What?” Nancy asks.
“Sorry, sorry!” you say, still laughing. “Eddie and I are friends! Best friends at most.” You tell her.
“You don’t have feelings for him?” she asks suspiciously.
“Only platonic ones!” you say putting your hands up in surrender.
“But the two of you can’t keep your hands off of each other!” she protests.
You shrug. “I guess we are both touchy people.”
--
Little did you know that Eddie is having the same conversation with his bandmates.
“Eddie, come on! You know that you can tell us everything!” Jeff pesters him.
“We are not a thing. They are like, my best friend.” Eddie says casually.
Gareth groans, always the jealous one.
“You jealous Gareth?” Eddie asks, smirking.
“No! Nothing to be jealous of.” Gareth answers crossing his arms over his chest.
Jeff clears his throat. “Eddie, you and they are literally attached at the hip! And you are always touching each other!”
Eddie shrugs. “Guess we both are touchy people.”
--
You knock on Eddie’s trailer door. You both decided to spend your Saturday together, hanging out at his place. Eddie opens the door, squinting his eyes. You suspect that he just woke up. He lets you in and walk towards the counter.
“Coffee?” he asks.
“You read my mind!” you exclaim.
Eddie pours two cups of black coffee and hands one out to you. You gladly take it and sit on a stool.
“So,” Eddie starts.
“So?”, you ask, mimicking him.
“The guys and I are going to play an original Corroded Coffin song, wanna come see us play?”
“YES!” you exclaim. “But first I want a sneak peak. You know, to know if it worth it.” You say, smirking.
Eddie chuckles at that. “Consider it done!
You both finish your coffees and head to Eddie’s bedroom.
Eddie takes Sweetheart, his guitar, out of its stand while you plop down on Eddie’s bed. He sists crisscross at the feet of the bed while you lay on your side.
Eddie plays you the instrumental of the beginning of the song and smiles at himself when he sees you head banging.
He stops and nervously look at you. “What did ya think?” he asks.
“That’s so good Eddie! I can’t wait to hear the lyric and see you on the shitty Hideout stage. You should record this on tape, seriously.”
Eddie laugh. “You haven’t heard the whole song yet!” he says, tackling you on the bed and tickling you.
You laugh. “Stop it, Eddie!”
At the same time, Wayne comes back from his shift, he comes into Eddie’s bedroom and greet the both of you before saying.
“Quiet down lovebirds, I am going to bed.”
Eddie and you both look at Wayne in shock, you part and say at the same time.
“We are just friends!”
“Best friends even.” Eddie adds.
“Whatever you say.” Wayne says, waving his hand and retreating in the bedroom.
Eddie drags his hand down his face exasperated when you say.
“Why does everyone thinks we are dating!” you say, throwing your hands in the air.
“Everyone?” Eddie asks.
“Nancy asked me if we were dating.” You confess.
“Wait, Jeff asked me the same thing.” Eddie says sighing.
“Is it too hard to understand that we are touchy people…” you say sighing as well.
“Don’t know, people always assume that if you are too close, you are dating.” Eddie says.
“Did people think you were dating Ronnie. Eddie blushes at that, remembering how he almost messed his friendship with her up for a stupid crush.
“Nope.” He says popping the “p”.
“Why are you blushing? Wait- did you date Ronnie?” you ask.
“No and why I’m blushing is a story for another time Sweets.” Eddie says brushing the topic off?
“But I wanna know!” you whine.
“People thought we were siblings.” Eddie continues, ignoring your pleas.
“Were you touchy?” you ask.
“Yeah, but not the way I am with you.” Eddie confesses.
“What’s different?” you ask.
“Even if I consider the two of you my best friends, they are two completely different friendships. I consider you like my little sibling, hence why I am touchy and protective. Ronnie, she was more like one of the guys you know. She was taller than me, and tough. Doesn’t need protection.” Eddie shrugs.
“Edward, are you saying I need protection?” you ask.
“Maybe. But not in a bad way. Like a brotherly love and protection.” He answers seriously.
You giggle and kiss Eddie on the cheek. “Love you!” You speak.
“Love you too!” he says patting your back.
“So now we are officially non-related siblings?” you ask.
“Guess we could say that.” Eddie answers, smiling.
And yeah, people keep assuming you and Eddie are dating but you both know it is not the case. You and him are just best friends. Non blood related siblings who loves each other, banter a lot and love hugging and being close to each other. You both love each other really deeply but it is not romantic love, it is platonic with a capital P. It took some time for Wayne as well as your family to understand but they finally stopped pestering you with that.
I just brought Dustin home, they had an Hellfire session at my place. Everyone had a good time, they all defeated Dustin's big bad. I didn't play though, I am not ready yet. It's not the same without you. Dustin is a great DM, don't get me wrong, but he is not you. He is not you Eddie. The little shrimp talked about growing his hair. To be like his hero he said. We all know he meant you. It hurts but it also warm my heart, he really loved you Eddie, so much. You are his hero, you are our hero. Wayne did grocery shopping for me, he said he used to do that for you in 1984, before your father came back, before me. We told Ronnie, she came back to Hawkins. She was so glad to met me, you should have seen her excitement. She told me that she should have come sooner, to meet me in proper circumstances. She is kinda might at herself to be honest, she said she apologies for the both of us for not coming sooner. She said it would have been cool to spend time the three of us. She's nice, I understand why she used to be your best friend. You even look like siblings honestly. I'm trying to spend time with her but she reminds me so much of you, that it is kinda hard. But i love her really she has been so nice to me. She old me all your childhood embarrassing stories. It's kinda funny how you told her you were digging a hole to go... I don't remember where and she offered to help. I can see that the bond between you and her was really strong. As strong as ours, maybe even more, but different. She told me how you tried to kiss her and it made me laugh so much. It's the first time I laughed since that deadly night. You still manage to make me laugh even now. You're still my light in the dark Eddie. no matter where you are now. I hate what you did, but do not feel guilty, you did what you thought was best. And even though I'd rather have died than you - because I think you would have handled it better - you did it to protect us, to protect your little sheep, to protect me. I know exactly what wet through your mind, and even though it hurts, it was your choice to make. I am still mad, but not at you, at myself. I should have tried harder. I cannot be mad at you, not anymore. Because I know why you did it and even though it was stupid, it was also brave. You were metal. I'm sure if James Hetfield or Ronnie James Dio heard about it, they'd be proud as hell. Your own idols would be proud of you. I brought you Dandelions today, I went with Wayne. I handpicked them all one by one, I know you always did this for me, so I told myself I'd do it for you. About the roadtrip, I'm going to go, in July, Dustin wanted to tag along so we're going to go together, with Steve. Yes things haven't changed he is still the babysitter. And I'm ashamed to say that but he is my babysitter as well. We'll talk more about it later, so much happened today that I'd rather make a proper letter talking about the roadtrip alone.
You just returned to Hawkins from college and cannot wait to show your boyfriend Eddie your new discovery. A new fantasy game saw the light of the day last August, August 1993. This game is called Magic the Gathering. You cannot wait to tell your boyfriend all about this new card game. You even brought the cards you bought to Hawkins to show Eddie along with a surprise for him. You don’t know if he will like the game, you will describe it to him as a card game version of D&D. It is not the complete truth, but it will do. You started playing with some fellow nerds at university and you fell in love with the game. You really hope Eddie will too so you can have a game partner in Hawkins, you even bought him his own boosters.
You rush to Eddie’s tailer and excitedly knock on his door. You can hear him groan on the other side of the door but when he opens it, he breaks into the biggest smile ever.
“Baby!” he exclaims, hugging you. “You are back!”
“I’m back!” you confirm.
“For how long?” he smiles excitedly.
“A week!” you answer, all but excited. “And I have a gift for you.” You tell him, smiling big.
“A gift?” Eddie asks, confused.
You fish ten Magic The Gathering boosters out of your pockets and hands them out to Eddie.
Eddie takes the boosters in his hands, turns them around and looks at you confused.
“What is that?” Eddie asks.
“It’s a new game I discovered at uni, as you can see it is called Magic The Gathering. It is a collectible cards game. It is like a card version of D&D.” you tell him, excited.
Eddie’s ears perk up at the end of your sentence. “When are we playing?” Eddie asks.
“Woah! Woah! Slow down there, we need to make you a deck first.” You tell him, chuckling.
Eddie takes you by the hand, closes the trailer’s door and leads you to his bedroom.
You both plop down on the bed and Eddie excitedly opens his boosters. He looks like a kid on Christmas day. He lays out the cards on his bed.
“Those cards are pretty metal!” he says all excited.
You grin widely. “They are!” you say, matching his excitement.
You look at the cards Eddie opened and gasps when you see a Black Lotus card.
“What?” he asks, worried.
“You got one of the most powerful cards of the game!” you say, pointing at the Black Lotus.
Eddie takes the card and examines it before handing it out to you. “Then you should take it.” Eddie casually says.
You look at him, blushing at the gesture. “No! it’s yours!” you protest.
“I want you to have it.” Eddie says, putting the Black Lotus in your hand.
“My Magic party are going to shit in their pants!” you say, laughing. You then take out a pile of cards and lay them out on Eddie’s bed.
“What are you doing?” Eddie asks curiously.
“You can choose from those cards to make your deck.” You tell him.
“Baby,” Eddie coos. “You already bought me ten boosters!”
“Eddie, I didn’t use those cards for my own decks. You can choose from them as well to make yours. So you have more cards to choose from. You say excitedly.
“Baby…” Eddie starts to protest but you interrupt him with a soft kiss to his lips.
“How do I make a deck?” Eddie asks.
You smile before explaining the mechanics of the game, the strength and weaknesses of each colors to him. You tell him your main deck is Zombie themed and that it is a mono-black. You keep rambling about the different cards type and Eddie intently listen to you. He basically falls in love with you all over again, drinking your words.
Around four hours after you and Eddie started your Magic The Gathering frenzy, Wayne comes back home. When he arrives, you and Eddie are still trying to build him a powerful deck.
“Hi kid!” Wayne tells you, ruffling your hair. “When d’ya get there?” he asks.
You sweetly smile at him. “About five hours ago. Went to see Eds straight away.” You tell him.
Wayne hums in response.
“I’m going to sleep. Don’t stay up too late.” He warns before going back to the living room.
You and Eddie finish Eddie’s deck about twenty minutes after Wayne left the room. You then go to sleep, cuddling with the promise of playing Magic after Eddie’s work day.
--
Eddie is going back to his trailer all excited. Playing Magic with you tonight is the only thing he has been thinking about. It is what motivated him to finish his work day.
Eddie excitedly comes into his bedroom and finds you at his desk, setting everything up. Two D-20 are on the table to count your life points. You put Eddie’s deck on one side of the desk and yours on the other. Eddie kisses your forehead before sitting across from you.
“I shuffled the decks.” You tell Eddie to cut your deck and cut his. You then draw each seven cards.
“Damn it” you curse.
“Didn’t draw the right cards?” Eddie smirks, indicating that he indeed drew good cards.
The whole game is tight, Eddie is really good for a first-time player, but you end up beating him.
“Yes!” you scream in victory while Eddie dejectedly looks at your dice with 5 life points left.
You put the cards that are in the battlefield and cemetery back into the deck and shuffle them. You then get up and kiss Eddie’s cheek. “If it makes you feel better you played really well for a first time. It took me playing at least five time before really grasping the game, but you, you are a natural.”
Eddie smiles and you kiss his lips softly.
“I love you,” he says into the kiss.
“I love you too.” You tell him. “Did you enjoy the game?” you ask.
“I had so much fun! I can’t wait to play again to kick your ass!” Eddie says smirking.
You tackle him onto the bed and tickle his side.
“Stop it!” he says laughing.
“You won’t kick my ass!” you say as you keep tickling your boyfriend.
“As soon as I understand the mechanics better I’ll definitely kick your ass!” he says as he laugh.
“So you are going to keep playing Goblins?” you ask, teasing him.
“Maybe? Is that a problem?” he asks, raising an eyebrow.
“Nope. I’m almost exclusively playing Zombie so no judgment there.” You answer.
“My nerd.” Eddie says smiling before laying on top of you and sealing your lips in a loving kiss.

Today is the highlight of your month, your year even. This is finally the day of Dio, your favorite band ever, and Megadeth’s concert. You arrived early to check the merch stand. You found a beautiful Dio shirt, a Holy Diver one. Exactly the same design as the cover of the album. You are super hyped up and excited by this concert. You are also super grateful Duo had a show so close to your hometown.
Your tour of the merch stands over, you go into the venue. You stand right behind a guy with a mop of curly hair. He is wearing a jean vest with a beautiful Dio’s Last in Line patch on the back. You are a bit jealous of his jacket to be honest. You can see that the patch was homemade from a tee-shirt, and you are jealous not to be a hand-craft person. The light turns off and the concert starts. The guy with the Dio vest is a little taller than you, meaning you don’t really see the stage.
You ponder on what to do for a few minutes when you come up with the idea of asking him if ypi could pretend to know each other so you can be closer to the stage, and maybe see more of the show. It is currently Megadeth playing so you don’t mind not seeing and just listening but when it will be Dio’s turn, you want to be able to listen and see. That’s how, from its own accord your body starts moving towards the mop of curls. You tap on his shoulder. The guy turns around and he looks breath taking. The first thing you notice about him are his big brown eyes. The guy is a perfect mix between Eddie Van Halen and Kirk Hammet. Translation? He is totally your type. You notice several pin’s from metal bands and he is wearing a Megadeth tee.
“Yeah?” he asks curious as to why you tapped on his shoulder.
“C-” you clear your throat. “Can I… um… can we pretend we are together? So I can have a better views of the stage?” you ask, unusually shy.
“Of course,” the man answers, taking your hand and pulling you right next to him.
“I’m Eddie.” He says, handing out his hand for you to shake. You shake his hand, giving him your own name in return. You have been a bit taken aback by his name as you just compared him to Eddie Van Halen in your mind, but you keep your thoughts to yourself.
“Metal fan?” you ask, wincing at your stupid question. Of course he is, you are at a metal concert and the guy wears his music taste on him.
“Yeah, you?” he asks kindly but a bit amused by the question.
“Yeah,” you breathe out, none of you is paying attention to Megadeth playing, too entranced in your new found companionship.
“It’s my first metal concert.” You confess to him.
“Then, I’ll be your guide in the metal concert world.” Eddie says in his Dungeon Master’s voice.
“You are quite the storyteller, I see.” You say flirtatiously.
“Eddie Munson, humble Dungeon Master of the Hellfire Club in Hawkins.” Eddie says, slightly bowing.
“A D&D club I presume?” you ask.
“You know D&D?” Eddie asks, baffled.
“I know it’s uncommon for girls, but I used to play before my party moved out for college.” You answer truthfully.
“You should come for one of my holiday one shot.” Eddie says excitedly.
“With pleasure.” You say, matching Eddie’s excitement.
Eddie and you both turn back to the stage, to watch the concert. Eddie admire your body swaying to the music. He can’t stop thinking about how you are his dream girl. He doesn’t believe one second that he will see you after tonight, so he is planning to enjoy your company tonight.
Then, when Dio comes to the stage, Eddie can see your face light up and finds it adorable. During the entirety of the concert, his eyes are fixated on you, screaming the words for each song.
At the end, Dio starts throwing their guitar picks at the crowd and Eddie instinctually picks you up to help you get one, which you do.
You are super excited about it and when Eddie puts you down, you turn to him and hand him the guitar pick.
“Keep it.” Eddie says, shaking his head.
“But you did all the work!” you say.
“I want you to keep it,” Eddie says with a smile. “So you’ll remember me.”
“How could I forget you.” You say sincerely.
While Eddie and you keep talking, the band leaves the stage and the crowd starts leaving. Everyone, except you and Eddie goes towards the exit. None of you want this night to be over. You want time to stop and you want to stay together for a little longer.
“Wanna go grab some food?” Eddie asks. “I saw a McDonald right next to the venue.”
“With pleasure. I’m starving.” You say, smiling.
Eddie and you leave the venue, the McDonald is full so Eddie suggest to take away and eat in the back of his van which you gladly accept. While you wait for your order, Eddie learns more about you and you learn that he is the lead guitarist and singer in a band. He tells you he plays in a dive bar in his town every Tuesday and you suggest that you should watch him play once.
“What?” Eddie asks. “You would drive all the way to Hawkins to watch little ol’ me play?” he asks, surprised.
“Of course Eddie. In case you haven’t noticed I really like you.” You say while taking the bags of food and walking towards Eddie’s van.
“I really like you too.” Eddie says while opening the back doors of his van. “Here give me the bags.” He says which you do.
You both sit in the back of the van and eat your food in comfortable silence. Once you’ve finished eating, you take a napkin and write your phone number on it.
“Call me.” You tell him with a smile.
“I will.” Eddie says nodding. “I really enjoyed spending time with you, and I want to do it again.”
“Me too.” You say smiling.
Here’s how Eddie and you met, two nerdy metalheads meeting at a Dio concert. Your dream is to meet Dio in order to thank them for giving you the opportunity to meet the love of your life. Here’s the story you will tell your children when they ask how mommy met daddy.
I had my first day as Hopper's secretary. Hopper's an easy boss to work for, he is also really understanding. He told me that I could take a day off whenever and defended both you and I when one of those close minded person said I shouldn't be working here after what my boyfriend apparently did to those kids. Your name was cleared goddammit. Why do people still think you did it. This town is fucking ungrateful.
Apart from nasty people, the job is easy. Typing reports, welcoming people. I also have extra coffee. But as you might know by now, the coffee from Hawkins Police Station is not that tasty...
Joyce is a sweetheart as well, she brought me a week worth of food this morning. I think people started to notice how bad I am doing. I can't cope Eddie. I am so bad at this. I am such a mess that Joyce even offered to clean my apartment. I obviously declined. I feel like a burden to them. You know I feel like Hopper gave me this job because he felt bad for me. I am tired of people seeing me as weak, as something that could break ay seconds,. I'm tired of people thinking twice before talking to me, of people avoiding to pronounce your name. It makes me so fucking sad that the only people who mention you to me are those close minded bastards who still think you are guilty. The only times I hear about you it is all negative. Everyone seems to avoid the "Eddie topic" when I am here. Yes I'm a mess without you and no I can't handle myself anymore but that does not mean I want to pretend you never were in my life, because you were Eddie. You are the love of my life and nothing can change that. No matter what shit people say about you, I'll always proudly say that I am the "Freaks"' partner. I wish we could have gotten married, I would have proudly worn the last name Munson. Because it might be attached to your dad, but more importantly it is attached to my nerdy metalhead, to my best friend, my partner in crime, and more importantly the love of my life. So the answer is no Eddie, i won't start over, I won't date anyone else. It would feel like betrayal. We promised each other, it is us against the world baby, and even though you broke that promise, I won't, I can't. Graduation day is coming, and I thought you'd want to know it but you passed, I'll walk that stage for you and i'll snatch your diploma off of Higgins hands. He never believed in you but I do. I knew you could do it. Maybe they did that out of pity, but you, Eddie Munson, unlike your dad, graduated Hawkins High. I wish we could do that road trip, maybe I will do it, I'm considering it. I'll bring your photograph to every spots we planned on going. But that's for another day. Let's talk about it tomorrow.

TW: Eating disorder, body image issues
WC: 0.8K
You have had eating disorders for years. At first binge-eating and then it turned into anorexia. Restrictive eating. It has gotten really bad this week. You haven’t eaten in six days and you don’t know how your body is still functioning but it is. And you are not going to complain about it. You are currently getting ready for Corroded Coffin’s show at the Hideout. You put on a handmade Corroded Coffin tee. You are currently trying on your leather pants. You know Eddie, your boyfriend, loves to see you in it. You are currently looking at yourself in the mirror and you do not like the way your thighs look in the leather pants. You look at yourself in the mirror for several good minutes before taking the pants off. You snatch baggy black jeans from your closet, hiding your legs as much as you can. You then grab a bottle of water and a can of Coke Zero and throw it in your bag. You put on your worn out Converse and wait for Eddie in your driveway.
Eddie arrives a few minutes later, he climbs off of his vans, rounds it and opens the passenger door for you. He helps you into his van, holding your hand. Eddie drives to the Hideout. Eddie is in charge of bringing the equipment and you, while Jeff, who just got his driver’s license, is in charge of driving the other members of the band. Eddie parks next to Jeff’s car and the guys run to the back of Eddie’s van to unload equipment.
Eddie helps you down and softly kisses your cheek.
“You look so pretty.” He tells you.
You blush at your boyfriend’s words and lean in to kiss him. Eddie takes your hand and leads you to the bar. Eddie lifts your up despite your protests.
“I’m too heavy!” you squeal.
Eddie shakes his mop of curls.
“Where did you get that idea babe.” He says, putting you down on a stool.
“But I am.” You sadly answer.
“Not at all, don’t let your mind, or other people for that matter, fool you.” Eddie says leaving a kiss on your cheek. “I have to help the guys unload, we play our set and I’m all yours Sweetheart.”
A few moments later, the guys own the stage. You get up from your stool and cheer for them.
“Hi Hawkins!” Eddie says into the microphone. “How are you doing tonight?” he asks his crowd of six drunk plus you. You scream and a few patrons raise their glass.
“We are going to start with an Iron Maiden cover! Lady, gentlemen. THE TROOPER!”
The first chords of the Trooper echoes in the small bar and you cheer like your life depends on it. You ignore the signs of your body weakening. You keep cheering the band during all of their songs despite feeling dizzy. As soon as Eddie gets off of the stage, he runs to you. Eddie stops dead in his tracks when he sees how pale you are.
“Hey, hey, hey,” he starts, concerned “Sit down, you’re looking very pale” Eddie says while helping you sit down. Eddie asks Bev for a glass of water and kneels in front of you.
“Have you eaten today?” Eddie asks the dreaded question. You shake your head in answer.
“Baby…” he coos.
He takes the glass of water Bev just poured for you and Eddie brings the glassd to your lips. He motions for the boys to stay back.
“Baby,” he starts again. “Your body needs food in order to function.” He says while rubbing your knee with his thumb. Eddie helps you down the stool and helps you walk towards the van.
Fuck the equipment, he tells himself.
“Where are we going?” you ask, anxious as you already know the answer.
“We are going to put some fuel in your body.” He says while opening the van door for you and helping you inside. Eddie then drives to Benny’s, he parks, help you down and lead you inside.
You start anxiously fidgeting, so Eddie takes your hand in his.
“What about sharing a bucket of onion rings?” he asks, hopeful. You nod and Eddie goes to order. A few minutes later, the food arrives. You start tearing up as you see the food. Your brain is torn between hunger and fear of gaining weight. Eddie cups your face with his big, warm hands.
“It’s going to be fine, baby.” He says softly. “Will it help if I feed you?” he asks.
You nod in answer. Eddie hands-feed you the onion rings. That is how, after one week of starving yourself, Eddie helped you eat again.
“You are doing a good job Sweetheart.” Eddie tells you.
And that is how Eddie started this habit of him hand-feeding you to help you eat again. Recovery is not linear and you both know you will hit bumps on the road, but he will be by your side through it all.
I finally got an answer from UCLA, they accepted me, but I will say no. I can't leave Hawkins without you. We promised to each other that we would leave this town together Eddie. I can't break my promise. All I have left of you are the memories and they are all here, in Hawkins. Besides, I can't leave Wayne... He needs me as much as I need him. And as I previously told you, I found a job here, in Hawkins, the closest I can be to you. I'm starting tomorrow. I don't know how I am going to do it but I have to. I need a paycheck. Wayne still works at the plant, even though the state gave him money as compensation and a new house, he insisted that he still need to work. He says it distracts him. He even told me it might do the same to me. I don't think so. Hopper is a sweetheart for employing me, but it'll remind me that even though we thought he died he is still here. But you aren't, you aren't coming back. Talking about it makes me feel like I wasn't enough, I wasn't enough to make you stay. You might say I was the best partner you could have wished for, it's not how I feel it. I know it makes me the bad guy but I would sacrifice the world to save you. I don't care about anyone else. You are my life Eddie Munson.
I can't move on. I know what you would say. You would say "It' to earl for you to imagine it, but you will." But no Eddie, I won't. I can't. You were my entire life, we've know each other since elementary school. You are my best friend Eddie, and you are the love of my life. A world without you is like a wold without sun. I just don't know if I can do it. You are the most wonderful person that I know. You are the person I loved the most during my 18 years on this planet. You were the only person who didn't abandon me. You were the only who could bear with me. You've been here for me through thick and thin. I'll never thank you enough for everything you brought me. But being robbed from you was also the worse thing that ever happened to me. I hate thinking like this, but sometime I wonder if it wouldn't have been better if I had never known you. Being given all of this with you and then being robbed feels like my heart has been ripped out.
Loving you is a blessing as much as a curse. I am sorry this letter is so sad, but I need to tell you that. I need to tell you how hard it is to write letters without answers, how hard it is to wake up to en empty cold bed. How hard it is to dream of you and then waking up all alone. I'll never get over what I lost. And you, Eddie Munson, stuck me in Hawkins. I'll never be able to leave, not without you.
Some people still think you are guilty, one of the secretary at the sheriff office literally told Hopper that he shouldn't hire "the satanist that killed all those kids' girlfriend." I think that's the hardest part, having people who don't know shit about you, say those kind of things. Yo worth so fucking much more than that.
