SNAIL OF THE DAY: Red Nerite Snail or Red Racer Snail
These snails live in any type of water in and around the Philippines and Indonesia. Their shells have bands that look very similar to racing stripes (hence the "racer" part of their name) and come in brillian colours of red and orange mixed with black and white. While they can live in either salt, fresh or brackish water, they prefer areas that have dense vegetation due to their appetite for algae! These snails don't grow any bigger than three centimeters and are usually found in clusters. Their bright colours make them popular aquarium pets and are in high demand in the aquarium trade. Red racer snails live a long time for their size; a whole 4 years! It may not sound long but it's pretty long for these little colourful guys.

The boujie snail likes to collect little gemstones. It won’t get hurt because the bottom of its foot is soft metal 💎
