“Keeping an arcade running smoothly is difficult, you know?! It keeps me busy!”

Maman has arrived, all that planning about to pay off. Here to promote the cool new attractions her daughter's arcade has! How? By being dressed up as the female lead fighter, albeit in quite an undersized costume. But she's here, and ah! There's her commander, "Aliciaaa, regarder! Maman, do you think it is cool? Maman wants to help you bring in customers!"

“G-General, please! I can’t allow you to wander the arcade in such a showy costume!” There she goes, pushing her Maman towards her office, trying to keep her out of sight.

“Y-Yes, hello, things are going smoothly! Alicia Lebeau is back in action!”

Maman is here! And she's got a question, she wants to know she's doing this meme right. So she's going to roll out her tongue, and look upwards. "Is it like this? The funny face?"

“G-General? Did one of the others send you something peculiar?”

“Ah, no, nevermind about that. Please don’t do that in the middle of the arcade, people will think strangely of you...”

Busy and tired today! We’re still keeping the arcade running though!

“That’s fine dear, you know maman is proud that all you girls have gone out to find your own passions. She does get lonely when you all happen to be out for the week, but it just makes our time more valuable.”

With the cake finished, they could proceed. Annabelle all too proud of her girls, very happy with how they’ve grown!

“Maman, please... There’s still so much work to do, to keep it all running smoothly. But enough about me, alright?” She takes her dear mother’s hand and sands up, beckoning towards their bathroom. The time for some closeness had come. “This will be your night tonight. Let me make you happy.”

“Hmm..” Is it a strange coincidence her daughters always seem to offer a bath? Probably. “A nice hot bath? When was the last time I got to wash your back, when you were little little.. petite fille.”

“Well, I’m not so little anymore...” It was, of course, no secret Alicia had really grown up and filled out, much like her mother- but indeed, it had been some time since they could be so close. “I’m... sorry for being away so much, Maman. Keeping the arcade going has occupied so much of my time lately. But we can always amend that now...”

“Ahh ma fille, such a darling!” She wanted to squeeze her so hard right now, but she had a plate of cake in her hand, “I love you too! I’m so very proud of you.”

Annabelle happily rubs the other’s head, “then will you spend time with Maman? Since she has no dates tonight anymore!”

“Of course, Genera-... Maman. Your first daughter is always happy to fill the gap of your missing dates. Anything to make you happy.” A hug, for her caring mother whom she loves deeply and truly. “Has it been a long day for you? We could retire to the bath, unless you’d like something else.”

“Maman is happy that you’re all so caring, don’t worry.” She took the plate, a little scoop to herself, then the second offered to Alicia.

“I’ll be fine, like you girls, Maman just wants some company from time to time.”

“Of course, General... But if it’s company you want, you know I’m at your command.” She takes a tiny bite of the cake, shared from her mother’s fork, with a happy hum. “Love you, always, maman.”

“Mais, ahhh.” She placed her hand on her cheek, “just a nice parent for you girls, would make me the happiest too.”

“Alicia ma belle, merci.” She gave her daughter a kiss on the forehead, “You always know mother’s favorite sweets.”

Alicia beams up at her mother, happy to receive such affection from her, always. With a smile she hands her a small plate, with the promised cake resting atop it.

“I know, General, I know. We’re just worried, ever since he went away. We want the best for you too.”

“I dunno sis. They’re arcade games, I understand they’re meant to be rigged. Still, I’ll believe you. And like I said, could’ve been a different place. If it were me you’d definitely have been told about it.”

“True true, if some hooligan was mucking up my arcade, I’d be the first to know about it.”

“...So, ah, try not to come around if you’ve been drinking, okay? I don’t mind giving you some free tokens, but I need to keep my fleet intact.”

“La belle de Lebeau, can’t even get a single date.. ah I hope the newspapers don’t pick up on this..”

“Come now, General, don’t feel so down about it. We all know you’re a wonderful woman, and an even better mother. Not that anyone could replace the former General...”

“...A-Anyway, look, I brought home some of your favorite cake. Please eat it and feel better, okay?”
