Okay so

I read what could be read about Yorinobu and well

Did they call him Johnny's charismatic opposite? And he is a rockboy? I'm kinda? shocked?

Why is there no option in the game to go to him and destroy Mikoshi and Arasaka together? Like why the fuck not?

It would of course be interesting to know what Johnny thinks of him, heh

I guess it’s because the game’s not exactly finished...? And Johnny’s like his hero or sth and I think that’s part of the reason why he chose to steal his chip from Japan in the beginning.

Also what V/player can only do to him in the game frustrates me to no end. Apparently I can only rob his lizzard, steal his chip, screw up he’s plan of provoking conflicts between Militech and Arasaka(in one of Padre’s gigs), and ruin his life’s work which leads to his death(in the devil ending). It’s almost like I was born to make his life miserable lol.

I'm not sure how much I like Yorinobu, because I didn't dictate much about him, but he's like? Also dislikes Arasaka? So I have no reasons to dislike him? And I can drown myself into this with you now?

Omg first of all thanks for reaching out! Like you’re like the first one ever in the English community lol, and I really appreciate that you like my art enough to get interested in Yorinobu!

About Yori(lol here it comes), he really gets to me in the devil ending, which is the first ending I played through, the moment I confront him in the Saka tower I knew I made the wrong choice and waiting for a reverse option, but there’s simply no going back, and things went down like free fall for V ever since. So after finish this ending I went straight to do Yorinobu’s character study. I not sure if you have read his Fandom Wiki, but if you’d like to go down this path with me, I strongly recommend it caus simply reading it breaks my heart🥲 And it gives a pretty thorough explanation of his background and his motivation&ideals, helps you understand this character so much better.

Also, I’ve done a little piece of translation work(Cn to Eng) for one of my favorite one-piece Yorinobu/Male V fanfics if you’re interested, and it may be a shitty translation so feel free to ask if you have any understanding problem. It’s posted on ao3, /works/29816010, hope you enjoy it.
