In Pool, I totally bet (well I guess in my HC) that when Lexa/Clarke are finally in a committed relationship, Lexa is scared of the thought of marriage. Not because she doesn't want to get married to Clarke but rather because she is a divorce lawyer and keeps seeing the results of an ending marriage.
Hmm I think by the point they start discussing marriage, they’ll already be in a very committed relationship and Lexa will know how strong their foundations are. Being a divorce lawyer doesn’t mean she doesn’t believe in marriage. That’d be like not getting into a relationship because couples around you break up. She’s not going to let other people’s failures keep her from being Clarke’s wife.
Your writing is sooo good. Any tips for someone who is trying to get into the habit?
Honestly you just have to start. Write away, do some stream of consciousness, don’t go back and delete or rethink what you’ve got, just write. The biggest part of writing is rewriting, which is when you start turning trash (usually) into something decent. You need to keep your original vision in mind and work your way toward that. No writer gets it perfectly the first try, it’s just not how it works. A blank page is so much worse than garbage writing! A lot of writers get stuck because they open their doc and they read over their first draft and they hate it. So then the frustration comes and they delete it or move on to something else—don’t do that! Trust your initial vision and enthusiasm for a story. Michelangelo had a big block of marble before he had David!
Hey I just wanted to drop by and say that I really enjoy your writings. I'll be sure to follow any of your works in the future! If you don't plan to continue Candlelight at all (I understand the lack of inspiration to write clexa anymore), what were your HCs or ideas on how their story would turn out?
I think it would’ve naturally followed them working together to take down Cage and ensuring that the future would be bright for everyone. It would’ve been a pretty glorious slow burn in terms of romance tbh. But I had a pretty fun HC that Lexa is a cuddle monster and Clarke always wakes up with Lexa’s arms around her waist. Of course Lexa is mortified every morning, but it does help convince her maidens that they’re for real (which is good because one of them is a spy for Cage). Clarke sees the good and selfless in Lexa, and Lexa sees the resilience and political savviness in Clarke. Lincoln would help a whole lot and agree to be King in the end, but Clarke and Lexa would be a part of his council (which leans more toward a democracy) and also rule the Grasslands. In the end Lexa gets to finally sleep for 48 hours with Clarke in her arms, which is all she ever wanted really.
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve lost your inspiration for writing Clexa. There are so many great stories and authors out there (you included). I’m constantly blown away by everyone’s talent. If you never find the words to continue, thank you for your contribution. I continue to be a voracious reader of the clexa universe
Totally agree, the content in this fandom is truly exceptional. So many of the fic writers could be professional writers.
Thank you for the Clexa fics that you’ve written. Sad to hear you might not write anymore. I love your stories. I hope it’s not because of the people leaving mean reviews. There are still quite a few people out here that enjoy Clexa. Hopefully one day you might find the inspiration again.
Nothing to do with that, I think I’ve been very lucky to get positive and encouraging reviews during my time in this fandom :) Clexa has had an undeniable impact on all of us. I’m eager to read new content myself, but right now I need to hit pause on writing. Thank you for your message! <3
Lexa in Long Into an Abyss
please continue blue lagoon! it's so good! looking for some angst - like one of them getting sick or hurt by an animal. . or what would happen if they were one day rescued and Clarke reunited with Abby?
There is some stuff about angsty Lexa and angsty Clarke!
In the Clarke part there are some mentions of times she really got physically hurt - all of which were nightmares for Lexa to see happen. I think the worst was probably the time she fell from the coconut tree, because she was unconscious for a good ten minutes and Lexa full-on sobbed the entire time, thinking she’d lost Clarke. The sea urchin was bad, too, but Lexa was really careful and sweet when she took out the spines from Clarke’s foot. She also didn’t let Clarke do anything but stay on her butt for a few days, just to make sure there was no reaction to venom. They probably used to get sick more when they were younger, but now their bodies are so used to the environment.
I actually never imagined they’d get rescued. Realistically (lol) that’d be a nightmare. Press would harass them all the time, they’d be poked and prodded, told what to do, what to eat. They’d have to learn and re-learn so much, it would be really overwhelming and draining for them. Abby would probably be overly protective and never leave Clarke out of her sight - because to her she’s still the little girl she lost. Lexa would only have her Uncle Gustus and he’d be hard to connect with, not to mention live miles away from Abby and Clarke.
Nahhh, let’s just leave them happy and in love on their island.

Candlelight AU is so intense and wonderful, in just a short space you conveyed a whole world and what could happen next. It has such rich, layered potential. I would love to see it continue. :-)
Seems like the favorite so far :)
I vote candlelight because I love the world building and I'm excited to see how the story plays out
You can still vote here until this weekend! :) This was fun.
hmmm i think im going to have to pick Pool because of the A+ angst (i love all of your work but Pool was definitely one that had me thinking about it for a WEEK) ((yes your writing is that amazing)) ❤️
Ha that’s interesting! I actually figure there’ll be more angst and pining in Candlelight. They’ve already fucked it out in Pool, ya know? The journey is about communication now.
