Compliment Cocktail
I have found my happy place with this cocktail for 2 nights in a row now. It’s just that simple and that good! Do you ever wonder how someone starts an idea for a cocktail? Or decides which one to make on a particular night? For us, there are all kinds of reasons- cravings, what we have on hand, what we just bought or a recipe we just saw that go into it. But for this cocktail, it was the dehydrated lemons. Bryan had dehydrated a whole crop of them to use with cocktails and we wanted to mix up a drink to use them with. The Bourbon and Amari combination is a go-to for us for a lot of cocktails (no secret there) and this has a similar structure and bitter undertone that I adore. Perfect for a Monday night..or a Tuesday night..or Wednesday night..you get the picture! And perfectly complimented by dehydrated lemons.

Ingredients
1 oz Bourbon
1 oz Cappelletti
.5 oz fresh lemon juice
.5 oz honey syrup
Directions
Cut and juice .5 oz of lemon juice
Shake all ingredients with a cup and half of ice
Pour into a coupe glass over a clear ice cube.
Garnish with dehydrated lemons.
