Secret for using LED strips

The lighting consistency is probably very nice with that tight chip spacing even without a strong diffusion piece in front of them, but 90W for 5m is a bit ooph. Would look nice with dimming, but be careful about having enough heatsinking and dissipation. Definitely a case where it's a good thing that they're not directly waterproofed .

What would be really fun would be to run a strip of high CRI soft white and a strip of daylight white, and cross dimming across them to do color tuning. One of my icebox projects is to do a semi translucent (glass/quartz mix tile or something similar, we keep bouncing between options, mostly gray tones, but the intent is for the final result to be something reasonably understated but still interesting) backsplash with RGB strip accent lighting above it/shining down it, and another strip of W for actual countertop lighting, but I haven't settled on control options for the RGB strip that would also mesh with having it be wifi controllable (primarily via Smartthings).
