Well, that's depressing.
Unlikely Brothers In Arms || Lee & Tobias
"New suit or not, I think it’s past time to put the thought from your mind." The demons were rushing from building, surrounding them. There were many—too many, Tobias was quickly realizing. And he figured Lee was coming to a similar thought process by the frown on the other’s face, the expression giving all away.
"And I’m sure you look good in any suit, alright? No need to concern yourself with your appearance now, of all times." He stretched, a low growl leaving him as the demons approached, and nodded towards Lee. "Ready." he agreed. "But this isn’t going to last. We’ve gotta figure something out—or get outta here before they overcome us."
"Yes, I know. I just needed a few seconds." He unclenched and clenched his hands a few times. His mind was working of ways to try to get out of this without getting possessed and Tobias getting out, too. He looked out of the corner of his eyes, slowly taking in just how many of them there really were.
"Well, thank you, Tobias. I'm sure you do, too." He chuckled slightly before giving a small nod. "Alright. We'll make a hole. Right through them. And then we make a run for it." He took a few steps closer to the wolf and looked forward, looking for the best place to make the hole in the demons to get out.
Some good food.
Don’t you think I know that? The sire bond faked your feelings, it didn’t fake mine. In this town…? Don’t hope for the best.
Clearly they didn't. They intensified. There's a difference. -He shook his head.- Yes. I know. My hope isn't that high.

He couldn’t help but laugh. At least the other was capable of joking at a time like this; that helped the situation for a moment, definitely loosened things up. Tobias dodged demon after demon, making his way towards the windows, the glass outlining entire walls of the restaurant that was soon to be completely engulfed in flames—and there was nothing to be done about it. It was a shame, too. The place was nice…
Tobias growled as demons sought to pull him back, away from the window, until he swiped just right at their ‘limbs’ and broke free, as the fire raged even greater the moment Lee broke through. Flames rushed and roared, and Tobias followed the other—barely making it out as the beams supporting the ceiling cracked and started to crumble down.
But he laughed as he caught the tail end of the others complaint. “Really? After all that, you complain about your damn suit?” The wolf stood there, out of the range of the fire, watching as it consumed the restaurant.
He smiled a little bigger at the laugh and felt a little bit relaxed. But he knew he couldn't completely relax, not yet. Not until these demons were gone. He watched as they followed behind them, already knowing that at least one was going to slip away between the two of them. There was no way they'd be able to keep track of them all. He frowned slightly at the thought.
He turned towards Tobias and smirked. "Well, this was a new suit. I could have worn this for other occasions other than just prom. I like to look nice. I don't think they'll be able to fix this." He shrugged his shoulders, removing his jacket and tossing it on a nearby fence. "I mean, I thought I looked pretty damn good tonight until these cretins decided to fuck it all up." He started to unbutton his cuffs, giving him more of a stretch. He clenched his jaw. "Ready for round two?"
I can't get enough of this stuff...
Good idea. Yay! As long as you share the alcohol. -He shrugged.- You’re mine. You can move, just not away from me. I’ll link us if I have to. Just you’re my Lee now! I has caught you! -He giggled like a dork, then burst into a fit of laughter.- Oh my god, I’m a ding dong! Come on, let’s go get our suits. You’re always a pain, but I may be a little masochistic. I like pain, and you’re just the right kind.
-Lee smirked slightly and nodded his head.- I will share my alcohol with you as long as you don't try to finish it all. -He raised an eyebrow.- Don't you think I've been linked to someone long enough? Besides, I'd really not want you to get hurt if something were to happen to me. -He rolled his eyes, laughing.- I'm not a stray pet or a rabbit. Yes, you are a ding dong. Alright, alright. -He followed behind him.- Just the right kind, hm? How so?
Some good food.
Maybe, maybe not. We’ll never be able to know, so it doesn’t matter. Whatever feelings we may have need to end. The sooner the better. So….Matchy pink? That sounds…weird. Cute, but weird.
You and I both know it doesn't work like that. They don't just go away with the snap of our fingers. -He shrugged his shoulders.- I was told a pink tie. Well, pastel pink. So that's what I'm wearing. I just hope my first prom doesn't end up being horrible.

Tobias started backing away, the demons following as he was careful not to back himself into fire or debris that was too impossible to escape from. The situation was growing dire, however, and Tobias knew they would have to get out of the place soon—or risk becoming just burnt corpses amongst the ash that was quickly gathering. He was sure the vampire Lee knew the same thing.
"Something, yeah. But not enough to save everything," he said, voice quieter than the shout from before as he spent his energy on seeking escape and trying to fight off the demon hordes that were still approaching, never ending their onslaught. "Head towards the window. Go! I’m right behind you!" And he was; through the smoke, he could see the outline of the vampire, the faintest whiff of the other’s scent on the air.
Lee could feel the wolf's presence getting closer as they made their way to the window. They were getting out alive. Even if he had to go back and get him out. No man behind. He knew once they busted the windows the oxygen would feed the fire. They needed to be quick and swift. No time for chairs going through first, he was ready to throw his body first. "Don't waste any time. As soon as this breaks.. This place is probably going to be completely taken over by the flames." He watched as the demons continued to stalk forward. "They probably feel right at home with all this fire and smoke. He'll probably feels like this." He tried to joke to make things a little less tense. But how could it, really when demons are trying to possess people. He looked over his shoulder, taking a deep breath. "I hope Phoenix has good coverage. This place is going to be a wreck. Let's blow this hell hole." He offered a small grin, running straight ahead into the window and out to the street. He waited for Tobias, making sure he was okay. He frowned down at his suit, mumbling. "Just bought this outfit."
Unlikely Brothers In Arms || Lee & Tobias
"We’ll just have to fight what we can!" he shouted over the roar of burning flames, the way the restaurant was burning and the tables collapsing… "And of course it sucks. Neither of us know what the fuck we’re doing," he growled just as something struck him in the arm, breaking open a cut—but luckily it’d missed his head.
Tobias growled back at the demonic creature, swiping with his claws, but it was like going through smoke, ripping limbs only to have them regrow in their place. And if he didn’t get away from this smell soon— “The restaurant will be lost either way, I’m afraid.”
He nodded his head in agreement before remembering smoke had surrounded them all and their focus wasn't exactly on each other. He cleared his throat. "Just be careful, Tobias. I don't know how well I'd do carrying you out of here while demons are on our ass and flames trying to kill us." He laughed a little. "Well... We couldn't just stand by. At least we're trying. That has to count for something, right?"
He got hit a few more times before he could throw anymore blows himself. Planks from the roof were starting to crack and he needed to move. "We need to get out of here before this place collapses on us and we don't get out of here alive. We'll have to try to hold them off once we get outside. Get a perimeter going or something." He started towards the only window that wasn't engulfed in flames.
Unlikely Brothers In Arms || Lee & Tobias
"That’s for sure." Smoke and flame surrounded them, the smoke edging further and creating cover for everyone—something Tobias wasn’t all that fond of. Cover wasn’t something that anyone needed right now. "Take it one at a time. That’s the best plan we have."
With a golden glow over his gaze, Tobias encountered one of the first demons, its stench nearly suffocating. It was hard to breathe while combating the creature of smoke, its form barely distinguishable from the surroundings.
"We won't be able to stay in here long with the way these flames are growing.. I'd rather not burn to death." He smirked slightly, dodging a limb or what he thought was a limb from connecting with his face. He kept on moving, doubting that if he threw any punches that they'd hurt them. No use in not trying. He shrugged his shoulders more to himself than to the wolf on his side.
"Our plan sort of sucks. Maybe the next time we want to fight demons, we can come up with a better plan. Like maybe not do it. Or maybe call for help." He tried to chuckle but the smoke was filling the room. He had to let his eyes adjust to the smoke. The smell was something he would have to work through. He threw a punch before one of the others got in a punch from his side.
Unlikely Brothers In Arms || Lee & Tobias
"Heh. This is normal for this town.” His eyes continued to glow, and claws started to appear as his nails stretched out, transforming. He was pleased when the patrons were finally out of the door, when the restaurant was left with just the two of them.
"No idea," Tobias responded with a grin of his own. But he could smell them. Their stench. Worse than any vampire he’d ever had the misfortune of being on the opposite side of. "But surely between the two of us, we’ll figure out something."
Smoke started edging out of the shadows…
"You make a valid point." He smirked and shook his head. "Bastards sure know how to make an entrance, I'll give them that." He watched them all before trying to figure out how to take them down. He rolled his shoulders as his muscles tensed all through his body. "Well, that's good. We'll just go along as they come." He chuckled, the sly grin forming on his face. "Yeah, eventually we'll figure it out."
As one of them stepped forward, another growl escaped his lips. "You ready to hold them off?" He didn't wait for an answer, instead moving to the side. He didn't know much about shadow demons, but he knew they could attach themselves to vampires and he was going to be damned if he let it get him.
Unlikely Brothers In Arms || Lee & Tobias
It had been a long night, and Tobias wasn’t in the best of spirits. He’d spent most of the time in the restaurant, at the bar, letting some alcohol soothe his troubles. But the food at this place was excellent, and he was loving it. Not to mention the company. Even the vampires seemed to be friendly.
"Tobias," he said, going to shake the man’s hand when the scent caught his attention. He nearly choked on it, and his eyes glowed yellow at the intrusion in his senses. "Party’s over!" he shouted, grabbing a plate and crashing it to the ground to get the attention of nearby patrons. "Dinner’s finished, and it’s time to go!" He was nearly choking on what was in the air, but the people here were the main priority—hell, even a vampire suddenly cared.
He nodded his head that he heard him. "I'm sure this would be a better meeting in different circumstances. But well, this is Mystic Falls. Does anyone ever get a normal meeting?" He sighed and ushered everyone out the doors, closing them as the last person left. He growled low in his throat. "You ready for a fight, wolf boy?"
He took a fighting stance, and looked at Tobias out of the corner of his eye. "You know how to fight shadow demons? Because I sure the hell don't. But we can't very well let them get their hands on anyone else." He closed his fists and watched as they came out from the shadows of the building.

Lee had gone to prom with Rodney and things had been fun. He never got to experience any of that as a kid. When he was human he had to take care of his brother and when he was turned, he couldn't go out in the sun. Which left school out of the picture. However, he needed a drink and some blood. He didn't want to ruin the warlock's night, making sure he was otherwise engaged, he slipped out the door into the streets of town. The vampire was going to be in and out before anyone really noticed. He kept a steady pace, in no hurry seeing as most of Mystic was at this dance. He pushed open the door and entered the restaurant.
He took in his surroundings, noticing a few people in the place. He spotted someone he had seen around town every once in awhile and decided to introduce himself. He walked up to the man and cleared his throat. "Hello. I thought I'd come say hi. I've seen you around town a few times but never had the pleasure to meet you. Lee Montoya." He extended his hand outwards before something caught his eye. The smell of sulfur engulfing his sense of smell. He looked at the wolf in front of him before turning and screaming. "Everyone out. Now. Move people, move!"
"Who knew prom would be like this.."
"I will, Thank you."She said, it was nice having someone care about her well being. Ever since Marcel went MIA she felt alone in this town. "I’d really like that, I really need help controlling my magic..when I get angry my magic gets out of control and people get hurt, even when I don’t mean to."She frowned.
"Good. And you're welcome." He smiled slightly and nodded his head. "There's plenty of witches that can help you. And wouldn't turn you away. Though, good information to not make you angry." He teased with a silly grin. He gave a small sigh. "But, I understand. When I was first turned.. I needed help with controlling myself. I hurt plenty of people."
"Who knew prom would be like this.."
"Mm..that’s true too."She said with a nod, she didn’t like the feeling that the council gave her, she hadn’t even seen them yet but she knew they were bad because they put the whole town on edge. "It is, my family thought I was a freak and didn’t get me, so it’s nice to be in a place with people that are like me."She said with a small smile.
"Just be careful, alright? Whether you can take care of yourself or not." He sighed, content to listen to her heartbeat instead of the music around them. "Remember, you are never alone. And in this place, there's plenty of people like you. Plenty of people who can get you or even teach you."
"Who knew prom would be like this.."
"Well you should feel safe knowing you’re date who is a warlock is here, and me being a witch, we’ll protect everyone."She said sounding confident, she had no idea yet that the council had drained her powers. She wrapped her arms around his neck as a slow song was playing and began to dance with him. She kept her voice hushed as well, "I figured out I was a witch when I was seven, and I’ve been practicing ever since."
"I feel safe knowing I'm a vampire and can take care of myself if the need arise. But, then again, the council could probably take us all out if they truly wanted." He smiled and clucked his tongue. "It's good to be confident, though. It won't mess with your focus." He placed his hands on her hips and moved in time with her. "That's a pretty long time."
"Who knew prom would be like this.."
She was glad so far she hadn’t seen Katherine at the dance, she didn’t need anything ruining her good time. “Oh come on don’t jinx it.”She laughed, she knew bad things happened in this town but being new she hadn’t really seen anything yet. “I would love to.”She said taking his hand and walking to the dance floor.
He smirked and rolled his eyes playfully. "I think whether I have hope nothing bad happens or not.. something is going to happen. It's an event. And there's always something going down when events are." He grinned and followed her out to the crowd of students, letting her pick how far she stands. He spoke quietly enough for their conversation to be between the two of them and not the nosy teenagers surrounding them. "How long have you been practicing?"
I'm surprised.
Oh well that would explain it!
Now I feel bad for even mentioning it.
No need to feel bad about it. It's in the past.
