Partially inspired by a dream, but as always distorted in attempting to remember.

Drowning Is Not An Option
I started with the idea of making an image in the theme of humanity creating nuclear fission as a species wide developmental reflex (as in it being unavoidable), but it turned out to be a lady in waist high water, handling some straps instead. I couldn't get her face right so I blacked it out and added a smiley out of frustration, which IMO turned out really neat haha. Saving the nuclear fission one for another day!
Music: Xiu Xiu - Fast Car (Live Tracy Chapman cover)
William Burroughs
One of the most important people in my formative years. He shows how uniquely warped and surreal the world can be. How an outlandish alternate reality seems to be frantically screaming at us just beneath the surface. And not pulling any punches when describing his less than flattering past. We are lucky to have so much of this cultural wealth recorded and available to us now.
Music: William Burroughs - Junky (Audiobook)
Composing Soothing Music
There is a kind of dysfunctional symbiosis happening in this one. Suffering for their art and what not.

Safe From Harm
I made this surreal version of my Mom's summer place. Not much else to say really. :) It feels good to take a sharp left turn once in a while artwise.
