Today is World Mental Health Day. Mental health has such a profound effect on so many of us. I’ll never be ashamed to say I battle with mental health issues, mostly my anxiety. I’ve suffered from depression, anxiety, low self esteem, feeling unworthy and sometimes crippling loneliness. I’ve been for therapy, have been on antidepressants, done CBT, spoken to friends and my family (and my pets cos that counts 💖) and even tho there are hard days…I get up, make my bed, have a cuppa coffee and believe that no matter what…I’m doing ok. I have my coping mechanism, I know there will be someone who will listen and even if no one can…my ‘boys’ will ‘listen’ 😉.
