choi-jihun:
When it seemed like she was actually going to go along with what he said, he allowed his focus to shift back to where the other werewolves were still standing. He could sense their irritation from where he was standing, but they weren’t making their way towards them. At least they knew that spilling their secret to a human wasn’t worth it. Jihun hadn’t expected her to say anything else to him. They’d just go inside, sit separately, wait for her ride, and then he’d be allowed to go on his way. So, her words startled him back into focusing on her. “You – you’re rather shameless.” Demanding different things after he had offered to buy her coffee. It was as though she had no manners at all. “Alright, fine,” he relented, “We’ll go get fishcakes. But you can settle for water or cola. I’m not buying you soju.” She was already delirious enough while talking to him. He wasn’t ready to deal with her after she had had a drink. There was no telling how long he’d be waiting there with her. If her boyfriend was already that late, then there was a chance he wasn’t going to show up at all and – what had he gotten himself into again? He was already starting to regret his decision to get involved. He’d have to text his secretary, inform her that he might not be making it back to the office that night. Jihun forced his hands into the pocket of his coat before he nodded his head in the direction of the stall she insisted on going to. “Well, come on then.” Without waiting for her, he started towards the fishcake stall, but still glanced behind him on occasion to make sure she hadn’t stubbornly wandered off down the alley again. “You should probably try messaging your boyfriend. Maybe he got stuck in traffic or something.” He doubted it, more because he still wasn’t sure the guy existed than anything else, but maybe it was true.
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to. I’ll just be headed my way...” But he already cut off that option when he agreed to buying it. Damn. Seungah had never been all that good with observing and understanding her surroundings. So she had no idea that something could have been amiss. Well other than the creepy ahjusshi that was just standing before her now trying to kill her perhaps. What had she done in her life that merited such a terrible fate? She had been good and had done good. Sure she had sometimes lied in small ways and maybe she was not as filial as she should have been. But was it worth dying? Heart pounding, she worried as she began to walk towards the stall that she pointed out. Why was he not just leaving her? She worried that maybe he would take her phone if she tried to call someone. But then at the same time he knew that someone was coming for her. Or had he read through her lie? Eyes shifting, she looked up at him every few seconds as small steps took her to the stall. He could not kill her there right? Or what if this was his area and he could do whatever he wanted since everyone was his person. However his next words gave her confirmation that maybe he was not going to steal her phone if she tried and she nodded profusely. Or was this some sort of test to see how long he had to try and kill her? Quickly she pulled out her phone and dialed a number for her father but then he would worry every time she walked home. Instead she just messaged her roommate, asking her to come get her and to bring her boyfriend with her. Explanations would come later if Seungah made it out of this alive. For now that seemed plausible but would he just kill her after feeding her? Was he some sort of weirdo psycho like that? “He’s almost here,” she declared in case he wanted to use this chance. But what if she dug her own grave and now he would just kill her faster?
