“What can I say?” Zoe shrugged, a hint of a smirk curling on her lips. “What’s mine is mine. And I don’t take too well to people taking what’s mine. I don’t share. I’m surprised you actually admitted to having lust for me though. I appreciate the honesty, but you can stick to getting off to your hand. Your ignorance is a major turn off. So even if I do feel the slightest attraction to you, it’s not going to do anything for me when you open your mouth and all I want to do is punch you in the face. But I am rather interested in seeing your game though. It’d be amusing to see you actually get slapped by someone.”
“You mean, it’d be amusing to see me get slapped by someone other than you, right? And here I thought you might be getting a little territorial with me. Looks like you can share after all. Joking aside, I’m just satisfied after having you admit you’ve got the hots for me,” Grant winked. If they were going to do this, Grant had to up his game. It’d be embarrassing to strike out in front of an audience. Knowing Zoe, she’d probably video tape it and post it online within the hour just to spite him. “What about you, are you in the market for some fresh meat?”
Grant :text: {Farrah}
Farrah: Yeah, see that doesn't fit at all because it's a proven fact that I can't talk to 'handsome' men for a long time about anything, let alone important stuff.
Farrah: Hell, I can barely talk to boys at all without freezing up and babbling.
Farrah: I'm so sorry! I really don't know how you got my number but please don't take it personally!
Grant: You're really hurting my feelings here. I thought we connected. I guess I was right to stop believing in people...
Grant: Maybe the world is such a dark place after all. Just like my father said.
It’s magic and it doesn’t lie. But if you insist, prepare to be disappointed by its answer.
Magic may not lie, but it can be very deceiving. . . Luckily for you, when it tells us that I’m more attractive than you by a landslide, that won’t be a deception. So let’s see it, then. Where do you keep this magic mirror?
Grant :text: {Farrah}
Farrah: There is a chance yeah, but it's slim. So slim, it's almost unreal, nonexistent. I don't think that I have, especially since I don't tend to give my number out unless i know the person...
Farrah: I don't remember having met someone new though... Why don't you just tell me what you look like? Maybe your name or description might jog my memory, although I'm pretty sure I'm right.
Grant: Well, I'm good looking. Very handsome. Tall. We had a long conversation about some important stuff.
Grant: I might actually be a little offended you don't remember me...
Look, I could ask my magic mirror which one of us is the most attractive but I’m not even going to bother because I already know the answer. It’s me. Nothing personal, sweetheart.
Hmm...a magic mirror, huh? Well, sorry if I don’t trust your completely delusional opinion, but I’d like to see what this mirror has to say.
With the way her luck was going it was hardly surprising that he had decided to follow - no, walk with her. This time around she didn’t hold back her eye roll when they fell into step. And as much badly as she may have wanted to, it was impossible to ignore his question. How was the kiss? She blinked once. Twice. Three times, before she fully registered what he said. “Are you seriously asking for feedback?” Grace questioned incredulously. A hint of amusement crawled into her voice, because if that wasn’t the most ridiculous thing she heard, then she didn’t know what was. Though she would never say it aloud, the kiss wasn’t bad by any means. Yet with that realization came emotions she wasn’t used to feeling simultaneously; frustration, regret, and a little bit of guilt. “In the future? Did you think – No, I’m sorry, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. You seem nice and all, really, but I’m just not interested.”
Her words halted every muscle in his body. “Not interested?” he mirrored. It had to be a joke. She was just trying to mess with him--he was sure of it. “Alright, if you want to play hard to get, that’s fine with me. I’ll play along.” He started walking again, but the girl had already walked so much further ahead in his pause. Struggling to catch up, he trailed behind her as he talked. “Look, there’s no way a girl would kiss me like that if she wasn’t into me.” Grant’s delusions were getting the better of him, and he over exaggerated what actually happened in his own imagination. “I mean, I could’ve sworn I almost felt some tongue in there, and your hands were all over the place. If I didn’t know any better, I might think that this was your intention all along. If that’s what you’re into, I don’t mind. I won’t tell anybody about your stalker-ish ways if you won't.”
Grant :text: {Coraline}
Cora: .....
Cora: Maybe it's because you keep trying to 'collect' princesses.
Grant: I wouldn't call it "collecting". One would be good enough (though I wouldn't turn down more than one).
Grant :text: {Coraline}
Cora: I'm an Ecology major, not a psychiatrist.
Cora: I think I'd prefer for it to stay that way too. I hate when people try to waste my time with their feeble attempts to flirt.
Grant: I never asked you to be my psychiatrist. I asked you to talk to me. Like a friend. I don't really have any, so this is the only real conversation I've had in weeks...
That’s cute. Completely false but cute nonetheless that you think you’d have a chance against me.
You’re right that I’m cute, but completely wrong with your reasoning. Lucky for you, there aren’t any beauty contests that pit boys against girls. None nearby, anyway. If there were, you’d be shocked to find how many people think I’m more attractive than you. It’s just science and genetics. It’s not my fault you didn’t inherit better looks than I did.
Grant :text: {Coraline}
Cora: I highly doubt that.
Cora: Regardless, it's just creepy. I think you might need to talk to someone...
Grant: Well, I'm talking to you, aren't I? AND YOU DON'T THINK SO BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T BEEN EXPOSED TO IT YET. DON'T DOUBT MY POWER, WOMAN.
Grant :text: {Farrah}
Farrah: That could probably be totally logical except I'm pretty sure we've never talked since I don't have this number saved on my phone, so...
Farrah: Technically nothing is impossible so i guess no?
Grant: If it's not impossible, then that means there's a chance you believe me. Which means it's completely possible that we've met and you don't remember.
Grant: Besides, I have your number in my phone with no name. We might have forgotten to exchange names when we met, which would explain why you don't recognize the number.
Grant :text: {Coraline}
Cora: Sounds depressing. And creepy as fuck.
Cora: Tell me, do lines like this ever get you laid?
Grant: Of course not, but I'm not trying to get laid right now. If I did, I'd have a completely different charm. It'd be pretty hard for anybody to resist.
Athena quickly took note of how her body had tensed under his touch, her breath hitching in her throat. “Listen, I’m not – “ She sighed, pausing to gather her thoughts. “I don’t want to actually hurt you.” By now, she could almost feel his breath against her neck. It was, in fact, a situation she had practiced before. “I’m not supposed to actually do anything unless i’m in real danger and I really don’t think you have any intent of actually hurting me.”
Grant was teasing the girl, but he had to admit that he wasn’t uncomfortable. “I may not have any intent to actually hurt you, but if you knew what was going through my head right now, you might find the reason to take action. Under his rough touch, he could feel her soft skin as he glided his fingertips down her arm. He, however, could also feel how tense she was with every subtle movement. That was no fun for Grant. “I guess I’ll just have to trust that you’re well equipped to handle a situation in the moment.” His grasp let up slightly, and he turned so he was facing the girl. “But if you ever want some practice, I won’t mind taking that position again.”
Grant :text: {Coraline}
Cora: Fay is a girl. A really pretty one too.
Cora: I wouldn't exactly call us collector's items....
Grant: Hmm. "Collectors items" imply that I plan to obtain more than one at a time. I'd put them all on a pedestal to show everybody every day. I'd brag about the different features of each, and have a secret favorite. But then one day I give up on my collection and sell or trade them all away...except the favorite. The favorite is the one you keep because you can't bear to let it go, but since you're over your collection, you stick her in an attic somewhere to never be looked at again.
