We love our Class of 2024, and their families.
Our admissions team is pumped and ready for the big rivalry Le-Laf football game tomorrow! We just so happened to run into President Simon and Dean Witt of the College of Health today so we had to capture all of this brown & white pride.
Let's go Lehigh!!
Spirit Week continues with the Bed Races!
In the early days of bed racing, students constructed their beds from scratch in an effort to demonstrate their engineering prowess. In 2014 the beds were redesigned by students at the Baker Institute and Wilbur Powerhouse, specifically to be safer than the ones used in the past.
Lehigh’s Center for Gender Equity celebrates Love Yourself Day on the STEPS lawn. Part of a yearlong series, Love Yourself Day encourages participants to learn more about their holistic selves, celebrate the mental, intellectual, spiritual, and physical characteristics they adore about themselves, stop exerting energies on the parts of themselves they’re aren’t keen on at this moment, and to share this love of our whole selves with others.
Students are writing messages of support (on biodegradable cookie bags) to share with friends, and taking turns smashing pinatas covered in stereotypes and comments that they’ve heard. While you’re there, be sure to enjoy some snacks, play a game, get a temporary tattoo or give yourself a manicure.
The Center for Gender Equity provides a dynamic space for conversations, meetings, and project planning. They work on behalf of students, staff, and faculty, offering consultations, networking, and customizable workshops.
Check out some of their upcoming events here.
Thanks to all the school counselors that joined us for a fly-in program at the Lehigh@NasdaqCenter this week! It was a great day discussing Lehigh opportunities on both coasts, and around the world.
If you need a break from Common Exams this week, head over to LUAG’s main gallery, and wander through The Crochet Coral Reef project. If you’d like to participate, the gallery is hosting Raising The Reef Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7 in the maker space, where you can learn to create your own hyberbolic crochet.
ICYMI: Admissions Counselor Sarah Bombard answered student questions about applying ED, financial aid and Lehigh in general in yesterday's Facebook Live session.

Helen Tynes ‘22 and Kendall O’Farrell ‘22, Vice Presidents of Lehigh’s Beekeeping club perform a hive inspection at a hive located on the Mountaintop campus. The Lehigh Beekeeping Club’s purpose is to raise awareness for environmental sustainability.
We don't know who needs to hear this right now but the Lehigh Community has your back! What would you say to someone filling out their Lehigh application? What is your favorite motivational quote?
Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Office of Residence Life held their second annual Welcome Home Celebration at the Umoja House. This informal welcome provided a great opportunity for new and returning residents, Gryphons and friends of the Umoja House to gather for food, games, giveaways and fun. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the house on campus, which was founded by a group of students in 1989. UMOJA, which means “unity” in Swahili, allows residents to develop a sense of community through a shared exploration of diversity and multiculturalism.
Faux Friday: The Class of 23 had the option of dining in South Bethlehem Restaurants Friday evening. The Greenway was also set up with lawn games and live music to welcome the incoming first year students.
As pride month comes to a close, LU students participating in Lehigh Creative Inquiry’s summer mountain top experience are finishing up digitizing pride related materials as a part of The LGBT Community Archive: A Project of Bradbury-Sullivan Community Center and Muhlenberg College’s Trexler Memorial Library. Over the summer students will continue to create an accessible digital archive for the LGBTQIA community.
